i'm an old country boy and i have raised chickens on and off thru the years but my favorite is the bantams i raise a small flock about 12 big stock and about 10 bantams mille fleur ,old english that was 4 years ago and now i will have to start over with my bantams they are like mixers if you don't keep the separated lol i did buy some silkie's for my grand daughter and she loves them
i do my own work when it comes to coups and what i need i'm also a bee keeper just started that about 3 years ago and that is hard but very interesting i'm hoping to be succesful with my bees this year Thanks Dave

Welcome to the group, Dave!

I totally understand your attraction to the bantams. I was initially reluctant to get bantams, although my family had them when I was a kid. But I have to admit, my girls -- a barred Cochin bantam and a red frizzle Cochin bantam are delightful! And, they hold their own against the big girls!

Best wishes with your flock and your bees!! Although I'm allergic to bee stings, I do love pollinators!!
