I have a baby quail I opened to soon is there anyway to save it . Its still in its egg and wrapped in a damp paper towel. Its still in the incubator at 100 degrees and high humidity

I'm afraid there isn't a whole lot you can do but wait until it's ready to come out (and make sure the membrane doesn't dry out too much). If it had at least made it to internal pip itself and you did not remove too much shell/cause too much bleeding chances of saving it should be good.

I would be careful about the damp paper towel. If it is touching the egg it may chill the chick.

Here is a really good article on assisting. It should help to figure out when the chick is ready to come out the rest of the way (it may still be able to make it out on its own but good to be prepared).

Good luck, I hope your little one pulls through for you! :fl
