Thanks for allowing me to join. We have been buying eggs from a local farmer as store bought eggs are, ...uugh. Currently we do not have any chickens but an opportunity to buy not only a coop but chickens, etc came up and this time tomorrow we should, Lord be willing, have 3 laying but picky chickens. I was around chickens on my grandpa's farm oh so many years ago, but have never had any myself. Wish me/us luck. edit-We are in western Kentucky.

Just a note, when chickens are under stress they will stop laying for a little bit (a couple weeks or more). The stress of the move could make them stop laying for a little bit, but they will start back up.
