I have been a member of this forum for over a month and I have never introduced myself.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? My husband and I got our first flock of chickens 5 years ago. (2) How many chickens do you have right now? Lets see... 28 hens/pullets and 2 roosters. (3) What breeds do you have? Buff orps, Easter Egger, Golden Laced Wyandotte LF and Bantams, RIR, Austrolorpe, Barred rock, Welsummer, Prairie Bluebell Egger, Olive egger, Sapphire Gems, and Black Jersey Giants,.. I think thats all. (4) What are some of your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They are a source of food (eggs and meat) they are so cute and lovable, they help me with my anxiety. (5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, horseback riding, running, fishing/camping, archery and traveling. (6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, and anything else you'd like to share. I am married to wonderful husband of 35 years and have 2 wonderful children and 3 grandchildren. I work at Costco and used to barrel race with my sister.
