we had chickens for a few years mainly silver laced Wyandotte’s large fowl and currently hatching more. They are very friendly and placid birds and love watching them. As well as the chickens we also have Saxony & Swedish Blue ducks.
I found BYC via google asking about issues with ducks

Wyandottes are lovely birds -- I have one mature BLRW and a Columbian chick in the brooder. I think the silver-laced are gorgeous!

As you know, there are lots of folks on the duck forum who are smart and generous with their good advice. That group has literally saved the lives of some of my ducks.
