We started our flock 3 years ago. Slowly added more and currently have 23 birds of various kinds. I grew up a city girl and my husband is a country guy, so it's been a big learning experience for me and forcing me out of my comfort zone in some ways. I love my flock and am very partial to our few original girls left. We have had some sad losses due to predators. My kids are enjoying having the chickens around and help take care of them, teaching my kids lessons as well.
