Hi! It's nice to have you here! If you have grass there, it will be dirt soon! Then you can cover it with mulch or pine bark chips or something like that to avoid smell and mud.

Your flock sounds nice! Of course the SLW is the queen, she knows she is pretty. I hope they are all doing well!

Hi We are also in Tampa! Due to predators we have out birds in large runs and coops for our runs we do a few inches of sand over dirt or sand and build a wood perimeter to keep the sand in the run! Then every once in a while we sift the sand to get any food or poop out then top up the sand when we think its needed! Especially since it rains it helps keep the runs a bit dryer (our runs also have solid roofs so that helps lol! I have 3 coops with sand and have never had a problem.
