Hello! If your Welsummer's breast feathers are coming in black, it's male. If they are coming in light brown, it's female. It sounds like you have a nice mix of chickens!

Thank you for this!! They are brown, but the comb and wattle are really large and very red. I'll post a photo when I get home.

Here it is, I don't know whether to call it a Mr. or Mrs. I'm 99.99% sure its a Wellsummer (surprise to us from the local feed/seed)but the comb and wattle are really throwing me for a loop
