Hi, I am brand new to chickens, we just got our first flock this summer. We have 5 Brahma chickens and 5 Americana chickens. We are adding in 9 Rouen ducks later this month. So far the best part of this has been seeing my kids engage with the chickens. My kids are a bit scared of our 2 cows but it is fun to see them properly excited about the chickens. My oldest has decided he is a chicken farmer and loves to let them out of their coop and say "fly chickens, fly!" I really decided to actually join instead of lurking when an eagle attacked one of our chickens today and I figured I would ask for advice on determining if she is in shock. She is fine now, just a little cut to her face and is acting perfectly normal.

Sorry about your hen being attacked!

Electrolytes can help with any shock they may be going through. Even though she seems fine now, I'd still give her some, as chickens are phenomenal about not showing when something's wrong. We have Hydro-Hen which is probiotics and electrolyes in one. There are many powders for their water you can buy, or just Google how to make some, as it's easy.

Thanks! We have some electrolytes from when they were chicks so I will add some to their water when I fill it up in the morning. Thanks for the warning about them not showing any signs thats really good to know.
