Hello! According to my 5 year old, I "just do the housework," lol. I bake cakes and make chocolates and candies and dog-sit for extra $s. I wrangle three kids, Kole 10, Melody 7 and Kadence 5, the best husband ever, 8 Speckled Sussex chicks, 6 ducklings, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 2 turtles. I have a large veggie garden which is expanding this season, and began canning last year. We are trying to be as self-sufficient as possible and after a tremendous amount of research and time spent convincing the wonderful hubby, I have chickens! They are moving to their brand-spankin' new coop tomorrow, as they are roughly 6 weeks old and ready to be out:) They seem to be showing clear differences in comb size and color already, except for one who I am completely unsure of, I think I have 4 pullets, 3 cockerels.

They continued to work on the coop until 11:00p.m.!! I will post pics once it is finished.

from Eastern Kentucky. Beautiful birds. Just something about those speckles I love. I have two polish that were sent to me from the hatchery a few weeks ago (I asked for assorted), they are speckled and they are gorgeous.

Great to have you. You'll be collecting chickens in no time since you joined this forum. Don't worry your husband will never know, just add them to the coop.
