Hi There!

We are chicken "newbies" and have had our hens for about 5 months now, got them when they first hatched. Today we got a wonderful surprise when we found one of our hens had laid an egg! The egg had a soft shell, any tips on how to prevent this? Also when should we expect the others to start laying? We have 2 Americana's, 1 Black Sex Link, 1 RIR, and 1 Leghorn (we think she laid the egg). Thanks!!!!!!!!
