Hello everyone !! I am a wife and mom to 2 boys and soon a small chicken flock.. from NC .. ( daphney is my first chosen hen name) and I am currently awaiting some baby chicks to hatch that are being given to me by a friend.. ( SOO EXCITED!! ) they are buff orpington / dominique cross . we will probably only have a flock of maybe 10. i was raised up always having chickens and they were buff orpingtons , dominique , and bantams but that has been some time ago and i didnt really share in the responsibility of their upkeep..although i had a pet bantam rooster..we will be starting to prepare for our babies this weekend. any advice is greatly appreciated and in the meantime im sure i will be sure of questions !!
