Hi,

I'm from PA. I just started raising chickens last June. My 6 hens are 9 months old now and I introduced them to their new flock member "Leghorn" (rooster) this morning. I'll be looking for lots of information on raising baby chicks in a few months I assume!

How did the introduction go? You could start reading up on incubation and hatching now, so you decide if you want to do it. Some people choose to use their "broody hens." They buy various breeds of fertile eggs and put them under the broody and she will hatch them the natural way.
