hi

Hi Ray, I'm glad you started your own thread here. Welcome to Back Yard Chickens. Is there anything we can help you with?

Do you plan on getting chickens, or want to learn more about them and the different breeds? You are welcome to read and post on any threads you want.

If chickens aren't your thing there are sections on pigeons , doves, turkeys, pheasants, quail, ducks, geese, peacocks and even Emus.

I'm barely computer literate and have a hard time figuring out lots of stuff on here. I've been a member for over 4 years and still can't figure out how to post pictures. People have tried to teach me but, my brain just doesn't "get it."

I've gone through a lot of threads over the years, the ones I especially enjoy I subscribe to so I can keep up to date on them. You get to know the people in time and it gets very friendly and people joke around. Lots of nice photos to look at. Even threads on photography, Dr.Who, Thor, Lord of the Rings, something pretty much for everyone on here.

If you aren't ready for chickens in the Social forum - you can click on various side tabs, for instance there is one for games and fun.

If you scroll down all the way to the brown colored section of "Recent discussions," you usually can find role playing games - that are looking for new members.

Remember you can just lurk and read for as long as you want, you don't have to post unless you care to. If you aren't sure where to post a thread - just write at the top -" If this is the wrong place, moderator please move it."

Welcome Rayo to the barnyard!
