Hi, I'm Lillie. I have three chickies, Sunshine, Happy Feet, and Blue. Sunshine is a Delaware, Happy Feet is a Black Langshan, and Blue is a Blue Andalusion. I originally got 4, 1 day old chicks including Sunshine. One of them dissapearred shortly after we got them, we never found a trace of her. The two other ones were found dead at 3 weeks old

. It turns out my two Chihuahuas had gotten them. We didn't think of them as a threat before, but now we know

. So Sunshine was alone for about two weeks while we looked for chicks that were around her age. We found Happy feet and Blue at 3 weeks old. Sunshine is currently 5 weeks old and the others are still 3 weeks old(We just got them). They all adjusted well to each other, they like playing and snuggling together. I posted a thread asking about Sunshine being a boy or girl, and right now most people are saying girl. So Sunshine is probably a hen and Happy Feet and Blue are hens as well. I'm really liking this website, I got replies on my first post within minutes! It's awesome!

So sorry about the chicks taken by the dog. Most dogs see chickens as dinner, so be careful with dogs and chicks and chickens.
