Hi

Thank you

We opened the coop door for a while tonight, but they weren't very interested in coming out or even investigating it. We did get a little area around the coop fenced in though, so I guess we'll keep opening the door for a while in the evenings and let them decide when they want to come outside.

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

I love your birds! Very pretty! And the sheep in your avatar is lovely too.

Chicks can start going on "field trips" starting around 2-3 weeks of age. Make sure they are in a run of some sort for protection. And then once they are 8 weeks or older, they can live outside and free range 24/7.
