Hiccup/honk and neck stretch

ok now I'm Clueless my birds always go crazy when they see food but then again we only have 2 aces

They probably only patrol about 2 of the acres. I think the compost pile does a lot for them. I mean, they love being fed and they do come running a lot of the time. But sometimes they totally ignore me when I call them and drop food haha. Then I'll see them pecking at it a bit later. Well anyways, thanks for trying to help me solve the mystery. I guess I'll just keep my eye on her and hope she is ok. She's such a sweet girl (her name is Nina :) )

awe she sounds like such a sweetheart

I have a hen who does this, too. She’s healthy and normal otherwise. She is in good body condition and lays normal eggs. I am assuming it’s a chronic upper respiratory infection. She’s been doing this for several months.

Hey all :)
New to the forum. I have a single hen out of 9 older and 18 younger that is having an issue. It almost seems like something is stuck in her throat. She is eating and drinking and otherwise acting fine but when she is just sitting there she starts to open her mouth, stretch her neck and make a hiccup/honking sound. She makes the honking sound from time to time while walking around too. Her eyes are fine and her crop is fine...I gave her VetRX last night and will do so again tonight. I also gave them some DE in their food today and ACV in their water in hopes that an early worm issue may be caught. Has anyone experienced this though?
Did you ever find out whats wrong with her? I recently added a few new birds to my flock and the 1 lavender austrolop is doing that exact same thing.
