I have a black Australorp making a hiccuping sound, which I take to be a cough or sneeze. I have separated her from the flock and have her in a pen indoors, and am giving her duramycin in her drinking water. Am I on the right track? Thoughts?

I had a silkie cross roo that had a sinus infection. He sounded like a hiccup too. Took him to the vet cause his face swelled under one eye. She had me keep him on the Duramycin for 2 weeks. Sounds like you are doing correctly, just make sure to keep her on long enough. Also if she is laying dont use the eggs for the duration and for 2 weeks after.

I have one that is doing that to and has been for a long time.I can`t figure out which one is doing it,I watch them and as soon as I turn my head to look around that one does it,its not all the time and sometimes I don`t hear it for days.
