My 1 year old hen has been gasping, hiccuping/sneezing, and her face has gotten noticeably paler over the past week. She also had a tiny bit of blood coming out of one nostril two days ago. Anyone got ideas about what it could be? Treatment? Do I need to isolate her?

I am sorry about your hen! Definitely isolate her in case it is something that could spread to the others. She could very likely have something respiratory. Problem is there are so many things it could be when it comes to respiratory issues in chickens. Isolate her and get her some probiotics and electrolytes packets if you can (the Sav-A-chick chick kind from any farm store are what I use). This will help give her a boost. You can also add some apple cider vinegar or oregano oil to her water or food to give her an additional immune boost.

I’m wondering if I really should isolate her though, because the three chickens stick together, inseparable. So if she’s already showing any symptoms, wouldn’t they have been exposed by now? Should I just treat all of them?

If they have been together for this long than yes, that have definitely been exposed. You can leave them together if you wish now. Gapeworms are a possibility since she is showing a lot of the symptoms. I have never had to deal with gapeworm, but it would be easier to deal with than an infectious respiratory sickness in my opinion.

So weird thing- last night we separated her from the other girls as a precaution, and I gave her some nutri-drench (we do this every once in a while because she's always been a sickly hen, try to keep her a little stronger), and i mixed some dried oregano, dried basil, ground cinnamon, fresh rosemary, dried thyme, pressed garlic, and Vet-Rx into her water (i read that all of those are good for respiratory)

well... this morning, she was perfectly fine, and has been all day. let her out into the yard (separate from the others) and she was exploring as usual.

is it possible that she got over it this fast???

It’s possible. She might have just had something very light and an immune booster like that might have knocked it out quick. If you want you can keep her separate for a few days to be 100% safe. I’m glad she is doing better!
