The chicks got another little field trip out to the run today. I'm looking forward to them being big enough to stay out there....lots more interesting things to do outside than in their little playpen...LOL!

So, the chicks have been outside for 5 nights and are loving it! First few nights were super cold, but they were troopers and didn't use the brooder at all, so I have removed it. We did have a roost bar fall when they all went to one side of it the first night, but I have fixed the problem (and none of them were hurt, thankfully!!). They are getting field trips out to the runs for a few more days before I let them out full-time. The dogs aren't happy about them being out there, so I'm working on putting another barrier between them. Here are some photos Dalton took during their field trip yesterday. They are 7 weeks old now. Do you think they are all girls?

Thanks!! All great photography is thanks to my son...he is amazing! So glad they are all pullets...we have been worried that they wouldn't be, and I didn't want to have to give any of them up...LOL.Beautiful chickens (and photos)! They all look like pullets to me.
