I have five females- four muscovies and one runner-mix, and two chickens.
The ducks dont care whose eggs they are hiding. Finally, they are all laying in the coop in the nest box. Rather, next to the nest box. But every day I have to go on an egg hunt.I didnt think I was getting any eggs until one day I uncovered a dozen.
They are very smart, and always give me an evil eye when I am uncovering and taking their eggs. I leave one or two each day, so they wont move to a new place that i don't know about. I will take all the duck eggs and leave my frizzles egg, then the next day I take hers first and leave a duck egg. Its working so far.
I hope that once the ground isnt covered in snow, they don't decide to find somewhere else to lay- or I may never find them. In the fall, their favorite place was behind the tree against the fence- under the fallen leaves.
