"Oh." Danika said and looked away. She wasn't sure what to think or do now. "Why do they kill humans so much?" She asked curiously

"Some think it's rather funny, humans fall into such awestruck trances and think that since sirins are beautiful, we are harmless, while some do it for an easy meal. And a mother with her young are easily provoked." Bellatrix explained.

Almost too soon, the song came to a close and star bowed her head a little as the music faded away once again.

Kyra looked to him and smiled "Yeah, and you hadn't crossed the lengths between rows,  easy enough to miss that on a first try."

"Yeah, just gotta get the right wire. This is very high tech." He said and followed one wire to find out what it did. "Sorry" He added at her wince. When he found what wire he wanted he brought his cutter over to slice it. "Hold still"

Ember nodded "Yes, that is not something to be repeated." She said softly. It certainly wasn't something she wanted to go through again

Jackie chuckled "I don't mind you staying. My hands being full is welcome after so long with nothing" She said quietly.

Angela smiled and nodded "Good, I;m glad. I don't want to be alone and I like having you with me" 

Avalon stood and applauded. "Oh, how wondrous! Most exquisite, in deed! What is that song called? " She asked curiously.

Falkirk stepped out from the piano and walked to Star and took a bow. "I hadn't named the melody. I shall pass that honor onto Princess Star." He explained.

Keira bit her lip and fid as instructed. She just hoped a pulse didn't hit at the wrong moment.

Zypher moved in a little to get a better view.

Bertram smiled softly. "Yes, idleness is a comfort to none. It just makes the days seem longer. I heard it said, 'Time flies when you are having fun.'" He agreed.

Nektar chuckled, "What a coincidence I feel the same about you." He stated pleasantly.

Falkirk blushed as he justified in a whisper, "But you wrote the words, I thought you'd already have a name. I'm sorry, forgive me? " aloud he addressed Avalon once again, " It is as yet unnamed, my Queen. Perhaps in time, we'll settle upon a suitable name.

Graydon nibbled on his lip in concentration, as he tried as Kyra had showed him. But it was still proving difficult. He was determined to get it , then all of a sudden, it fell into place. "I did it...I think. Oh, wait... yeah, that's right! " He said with wonder.

Keira held her breath as it started beeping rapidly and then disengaged. She exhaled in relief, "Now that is a wonderful sound. Thank you! "

Cadeon laughed genuinely for the first time since waking. It felt good to just exist. "I love you, my rarest blue Ember. " he said with appreciation.

"Perhaps, but I'm afraid I've spent to many days in forced idleness, that it's going to be a while before I find joy in it again. " Bertram truthfully.

Nektar smiled proudly and nodded. "My point exactly. " he said with certainty.

John smiled and nodded then moved the beetle away so the doctor could bandage her up. He looked at the thing again then over to Anna and Zypher "I would like to take this home and get a good look at the insides. I can text over whatever plans I come up with"

Jackie nodded. That was an understatment from what she had learned about that place. "Well, there's plenty enough in this world to keep everyone busy, even if they have to learn new things to do them." She said and smiled.

Angela sighed and smiled then pulled back to walk with him again "That makes me very happy" She said as she looked to him again.

"Beautiful does not mean harmless" Danika said then sighed "I guess we should go and meet one of them, or more"

"Humans think that something so beautiful and true won't hurt them, that's the mistake they always make. Anyway, yes we should. I hope you don't have a grudge against my kind, we'd simply rather protect ourselves than hide. Sirins were here before the problem with humans, so most feel that it's unjustified for them to now have to back into the shadows." Bellatrix tried to explain to her.

"I agree. Being out of water has it's own adventure. But I do long to return to it's welcome safety. " Keldwyn said as she walked into the water.

Sirène nodded and shifted to her mermaid form, going into the water. Her brother then got in, and he led them to where Sirène's family was. Sirène's sister and oldest brother were fine, but her mother had a large bruise on her side and two large puncture wounds in her tail, which were wrapped up tightly. She was sleeping, being easily held by the brother.

Pluma smiled. She then shifted back to an owl. "I'm hungry. We could go hunt." Pluma suggested.

"But of course, my queen. Thank you for honoring us with your visit." Falkirk said, as he bowed once again.

Avalon smiled her approval, before she turned to taking her leave.

Keira whispered her thanks to the doctor who bandaged her up. She stood up and walked over to Anna. "Ummm, I'm not sure of the proper way to ask and this is probably not the best time to bring this up. But may I join your pack, Anna? I'll completely understand if to don't want a maned wolf. But Zypher said to ask you. So it gave me hope." She said as she kept her eyes from making direct contact. She looked at Anna's shoulder.

Bertram nodded and said, "I've been thinking about starting that fence for your garden. If you'll show me to the supplies are. I'll get started. "

Nektar ssmiled and was about to say something when he smelled something odd. He stopped and looked around. Where was it coming from? "Do you smell that?" He asked on a whim.
