Markus had created a convincing message. Now it was time to try it out and see what they got. He pressed the auto dialer. It would call random numbers in Don's phone. But programmed to voice identify his daughter's voice.

Starr smiled softly at him when he poured them each some of the tea. "Perhaps he has changed and just wants to be home again now?" She wasn't sure of that, but it was all she could think of now.

Kyra looked back to him and squeezed his hand in return. She was quiet a moment, thinking about it then sighed. "I do not know, the first instinct is to go to ground, but this is already our den that they have found somehow." She shook her head again then looked to the door. "They are being too quiet" she added worriedly then made her way to the door to peek out from it and try to see what was going on outside.

Ember chuckled and looked to him then moved to kiss his cheek gently "You keep teasing me and it might be purple." She teased then shook her head aand glanced back to Bob again.

"Not sure yet" Jason said as they came to a stop to pick up the two shifters. The human would be taken with the other wolves so he couldn't see where they were going.

"This one has a tracker, as does the human, we marked the placement." The wolf said as they brought Deegan and Pyro over to Jason's van. Jason nodded and switched on the signal blocker
"He will be fine, we can take him to one of the docs to get it removed." Jason said and smiled at the newcomers.

The wolves that had pulled off the rescue started walking Gable away towards their vehicle. One stayed to rig a bomb on the van so it could not be used again.

Aaron looked at her then started to return the favor, cleaning her fur up to her ear as well.

Oddly enough, her number was the most recently added one, since they had not had cell phones when they left the pack. Anna answered her phone with a sleepy voice, having been wiken from her nap with Zypher on the couch. "Hello?"

Don's voice:
"Yeah, I'm hurt....I just got away. I...I took a bad blow to the head. I'm disoriented and I don't really know where I am. I'm far enough away from that death trap. I think this beckon is still broadcasting. Could I get a pick up? I need a doctor, I'm bleeding pretty bad......" the call discontinued.

Falkirk nodded and handed her the tea cup and saucer. "That's probably true. He was gone for a long time. Anything is possible. I hope that's the case." He agreed.

The drone flew into veiw and the voice came over the intercom, "Come out and nothing will happen. Don't, then no promises. "

Graydon gasped at the machine. "Kyra! No! Don't believe it."

Cadeon threw his head back laughing. "Now that was clever. But I'm behave....for now." He said as he looked back to Bob as well. "So how fast do Phoenix grow? He seems far advanced for his young age." He observed aloud.

Keira moved over to make room for Degan and Pyro. She looked to them curiously.

Pyro looked towards the direction of the cave. But Degan got his attention, "Hey, you have to get that thing out or they will just find you again. She'll be fine. Pyro nodded slowly and got in the van. Degan smiled to to Keira in greeting.

"Dad? Wait, what?" Anna sat up, frowning at her phone then looked to Zypher "It sounded like father, saying he had gotten free, but..." She paused, trying to figure out what felt wrong

"Thank you" Star said as she accepted the cup. She hoped that they could get along with the kings group without too much trouble. That would be nice.

Kyra flinched at the volume, her ears backing to fold agaimst her skull to try to dull it. She looked to the machine then backed away to get to Graydon again. "We have to try, I don't like that thing" she said then headed down the trapdoor.

Ember smiled softly "He is the equivilant of a three to five year old human now. Until we reach age twenty, we can grow very fast, then our growing seems to stop and hold until we die." She informed gently.

"You have another?" Jason asked, glancing to them as David drove them away from the blast zone once they were in anf the doors shut.

Aaron groomed her until he grew tired, then just lay beside her, contentedly. He never wanted to leave her side.

Zypher came awake at Anna's ring tone. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes as he looked to her. " But? Did he say where he was?" He asked curiously.

"Your welcome. " Falkirk said as he gathered his own and settled beside her once again. He sipped it tentatively. "What shall we do with our new found freedom? " He asked thoughtful.

Graydon was right with her. He'd never see anything like that before. He was glad he hadn't suggested flying. That would have been a disaster.

Cadeon looked at Bob with amazement. "That's fascinating. You both are so unique. " He said with appreciation as he looked over to Ember again.

"She is probably in the wind by now. She wasn't found with the search of the cave. So she knows to find somewhere safe." Pyro said with conviction. Degan was relieved to have conformation of that fact. Zia was both strong and tenacious when she wanted to be.

Elina nuzzled closer and drifted off to sleep. Feeling completely safe and totally relaxed.

Kyra led the way all the way down to the hidden creek under the tree. She looked to him then slipped into the water to let it help carry them out through a cave and to what should be a safe place.

Ember smiled, waiting for her cheeks to cool again though they were still red. She wasn't so fond of being unique, since she always had been.

Jason nodded and glanced to the road then back "Good, at least she is free and you may find her again after we get that tracker out of you."

Aaron watched over her while she rested before giving in to the call of sleep, knowing his dome would alert them to anyone trying to enter there.

Graydon hesitated but a moment, but then climbed into the water. "Where does it take us?" He asked nervously.

Cadeon rolled on his side and propped his head on his hand. As he looked down he smiled gently. " I mean that in a good way. You are incredibly beautiful inside and out." He explained compassionately as he leaned forward and kissed her softly on her lips. He grinned ss he heard Bob giggling at them. He then felt the little bugger bitting and tugging at his hair.

Pyro bowed his head in thanks and looked outvthe windows. Degan was glad to see Jason once again. But he wondered where the rest of his pack was. Maybe they were still at Jackie's. "How's everyone else doing? " He asked curiously. At that moment, Jason's phone rang. (Same message as was used with Anna. )

Anna nodded then sighed "I know." She said softly then looked at him. "Even if it is him, it is very likely a trap, but I have to know."

Star glanced out also, thpough she figured it would still be light here. They were having breakfast after all. She smiled at him again then looked to the mirror curiously. "We could use the mirror to get there."

"It takes us out to a part of the river, we will come out just before it merges so we can get out there." Kyra answered softly

Ember amiled again and kissed him in return before reaching up to hold Bob gently "My little knight, don't attack him, I love him." She said and smiled at the young bird.

"They are mostly alright, but father got caught, so I am temporarily alpha of the guardians." He answered the looked to his phone, frowning before answering. Since he had never been caught, they wouldn't know he was related to Don.
Jason flinched and looked at the dead phone then over to David. "We need to get a meeting set up, either father freed himself or this is a trap and he has everyone's number" He said then looked out the window, his foot tapping the flooor as they headed for the house to get the pack together
