The giant was furious. Those spiders had been bold enough to try and eat him. But he'd showed what a mistake that was. He'd wiped out the whole lot of them. He'd stepped on their dismembered bodies to be certain of that end. He looked to the city with curiosity. But a howl caught his attention. He looked at a small gray winged thing. He smiled as he captured it easily and ground it to nothing. He laughed pleased with himself. It was so good to finally be awake again. But he was feeling a bit strange. He looked to the wounds the spiders fangs had left. He brushed away more blood, before he turned to go after the four-legged ants with fur. "Fee, fie, foe, fum! I smell the death of the furry ones!" His voice thundered out of his chest.

Star blushed and looked down at their hands again. "The stars are already out? When will the trial be?" She asked with concern. She had not realized so much time had passed already.

Kyra chuckled softly at that. She watched him then reached over to bob his nose lightly. "That squirrel might think you are making your nose a target eith it so high like that."

Ember looked to Cadeon and kissed him before she got up to go outside with the others. She didn't want to leave him, but this was needed. She couldn't look back as she went out, each time she left to fight it got harder to walk away.

Jackie looked to Garth and nodded. "If you are certain, Marcus and his creatures will be there fighting also." She said, wanting Garth to be sure before they left to go in the void. She looked to Bertram and smiled at him, glad that he would come with her. She started to leave with Ember so they could reach the void.

Kristen smiled and looked to the house "They are already coming out." She said and decided to wait there for them to reach them so she could tellJackie.

Skylar saw the change in him and frowned a little before nodding and reaching for his hand. "I say that to let you know that despite this battle, I can stay with you after it. You are my friend now, but if ordered to I would have to leave you." She said quietly. When the others headed for the door, she looked to him and led the way to Orsen and Kristen.

Don looked back to the giant at his words, letting the wolves fire the rocket at the giant to see how much damage it would do to him. Jason stayed near his father, watching between the giant and Marcus in his tank.

None of them saw the white haired girl watching from off to one side of the battlefield. Danika had come in curiosity, but was frozen in fear now.

Aurora took off to lead them to the battle hopefully before the giant killed too many . She glanced back to Aeval and the others, hoping they would all make it out alright.

Aaran chuckled and kissed her gently. "Then let us go and get the boring part over with so we can get to the fun part." He suggested happily.

Spyro came over and said, "Jackdaw must be cleared of plotting King Kaerft murder, before his titles can be returned to him. Once he has them, his rite fight challenge will be recognized by the queen."

Falkirk nodded and said, "and the trial is whenever Racine gets here. That is, if he comes. " He rubbed his thumb idly along Star's hand.

"Exactly! " Jackdaw replied as he stepped out of the bathing chamber. For once, looking like the prince he was.

Graydon burst out laughing. "You are probably right. For such a small creature, he has impeccable aim" He said with humor.

Cadeon stood on the porch and watched silently as they gathered to leave. His lady love, made him proud on so many levels. She was a warrior through and through.

Bertram walked with Jackie. He glanced to Skylar, Jaxon and Garth. They both looked determined. He then focused on Orson and Kristen. Waiting for the portal to the void.

Orson smiled happily at Kristen, giving her the stage to share the good news.

The giant flinched at the projectiles shot at him. When one exploded close to his arm, he roared his rage. He then took to swatting the others away with his hands. Grabbing one and flinging it back at the furry ants. "You're no match for me, earth fleas!" He said angrily.......

Markus covered his ears and gave the order to fire. The tank released a charge and slid backwards from the combustion. The round struck the giant's thigh and had the effect of a bullet. "Higher! " Markus shouted, as he went to plan B. While he ran to the back of the caravan. He called in Chevez, with Smith running the Gatling gun. They flew in from the south and headed strait for the giant. Chevez maneuvered the helicopter sideways, at a safe distance. That way, giving the massive gun mounted just inside the side door, the best possible aim.

Upon the new assault the giant grabbed his thigh and pulled out the thing causing the pain. He frowned as a noizy dragonfly shaped thing came at him. But as soon as it began to spray gunfire at him, he charged after it. But it was too fast to grab. Then another biting piece of steel. He growled as he looked at the tank. He ran forward and stomped on the tank, easily. It exploded like stepping on a firecracker.......

Markus looked to the tank and cursed, but went back to what he was doing.

Aeval tool off and followed quickly. She look ahead and was dumbfounded. It was a war zone. From this hight, she could see the flashing of missiles and the giant. "It's already started! " She yelled out in urgency.

Elina smiled, "Yes, he's probably looking for us. When I left to find you, he was speaking with Ender. So he brought words from the queen. Be they yes or no, is still uncertain." She explained simply.

Markus opened the doors of the last of the shifter transports. His new wolf hybrids had to be caged separately and muzzled to keep from killing eachother. He stepped forward reaching through the bars and rested his palm on each of their heads. He recited the words Pariah spoke to him. As soon as he finished, the hybrids stilled. When he reached the tenth one, the ordered the cage doors opened and the muzzles removed. Pariah spoke in his mind. "Now command them, their will is your own. They are an an extension of yourself." He looked to them as the handler finished with the muzzles. They looked to him silently. He started for the back of the trailer unsure. But command, "Come! " they stepped forward without hesitation and followed.
