Navar pulled his car up beside Nix's. He then got out and walk over to Nix. "You bird of paradise escaped her gilded cage again? Perhaps next time you should clip her wings." He said to Nix with a smile. Of course only Navar knew the double meaning.
Nix got out, not amused. "Just do your thing." He said dryly.
Navar shrugged and held his hand out for the keys. He then went over to the drivers door of Carrow's car. He opened it and breathed deeply. He stood up and looked over the top of the car and said, " Oh, we're looking at triple the usual rate. You didn't tell me anything about him. How long has she been hanging around with that.....guy?" He covered quickly.
Nix glared at Navar, "Money is not a problem, I want her back. As far as that guy, I don't know who he is or how long, they have known each other."
Navar nodded as he sat down in the driver's seat and shut the door. He then breathed deeply of all the latent scents. It was a road map in a way, because each emotional reaction, leaves a scent. He smelled: Fear, sorrow, hopelessness, gratitude and lastly happiness. But underneath it all, was the pharmon scents. This whole thing just got really complicated. A knock on the window snapped his attention back to Nix. He felt sorry for him. He'd lost his eagle for good, he just didn't know it yet. He opened the door and stepped out. "Well, the guy is a complication, he's dangerous and she was very interested in him. So, I'd say she left with him willingly." Navar concluded.
Nix glared as him, as he snatched the key from his hand and went to the trunk and opened it. "I know that already! Tell me something I don't know." He replied hotly, as he pointed into the trunk.
Navar looked at her belongings. He shrugged and said, " If I bring her back, she won't be the same. She'll never be the same, again. I believe she loves him. Now when the money transfer is complete, I start my hunt. Agreed?"
"I don't care how she is, just bring her back to me! Him, I don't really care, what you do with him." Nix said as he got on his phone to the bank to arrange the money transfer.
Navar's head followed the direction the scent went. Not good, he was going to earn this money this time. He had taken her to the mountains. Nix held out the phone to him. Navar walked a away to gave the account number to the agent, for the transfer. Then walked back over and stayed on the line, until it went through. Then he handed the phone back to Nix. Navar walked over to the trunk of his own car and got his supplies and started following Carrow's scent.
