"That is lucky." Ian said with respect then turned to leave the main road for another small one "It's good you were able to teach yourself to read too, that's a skill that can come in very useful anywhere."
~~~
Aaran flopped down to join her, trying to catch her paws with his in a small game as they caught their breath from the run.
~~~

Sorcha blushed at the praise and looked to him again "I am an advisor for mt queen, but I am glad you think so without knowing that." She said softly Her mind wandered for a moment, thinking of the fact that political matches would still be made, as in a princess being married to him. She blinked then and pushed the thought away and refocused on the current problem "First step would be to talk to Queen Avalon then talk to Ender about trying this. Princess Starr is very powerful and my current student, She would want to help I believe.She does not see any fae as lesser herself."
~~~
Kellan smiled at that and nodded "I do not know what those are, but they sound powerful." He said then looked to Luce and she and the others came in. Jason went to his chosen to help her carry the trays
Anna smiled and chuckled lightly "Well, there you go, anticipating me again." She said teasingly then watched her brother come to dote on his chosen again.
~~~
"What is it?" Jackie asked sleepily, raising her head to look for Bertram at the voices. She yawned and snuggled the pillow closer to her
~~~
"Coming' Aurora called then sighed softly and sat up "Do you want to come?" She asked Aeval as she stretched then stood and looked to the other dragoness again.
Lexi shrugged and explained, "There wasn't much else to do in the labs. Well, when we weren't training."
~~~
Elina nibbled gently on his front paw that she'd managed to catch briefly. She looked to Aaran with affection as they laid there. "I love you, Aaron. " She spoke in his mind.
~~~
(My bad, I dropped them awhile ago. :/ )
Falkirk looked to Star and smiled, "I would love to go to the waterfall with you." He got to his feet and walked to the balcony where she was standing. He shifted and nuzzled her neck.
~~~
Racine smiled proudly at Sorcha's position of honor as the queen's personal advisor. "Queen Avalon is most fortunate to have such a loyal and thoughtful advisor. I envy her that. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go speak to her now." He replied softly as he stood up to leave. He stopped midway to the doorand looked back at her moment, as if he wanted to say something more, but frowned slightly and shook his head, before continuing on his way.
~~~
"Well, I do try. I'm nothing if not intuitive." Luce said to Anna. But smiled softly as Jason came over to help her. "Here comes the calvary and just in time! " She teased Jason playfully, as she handed him the try. She had to stand on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek. "Thank you, sweetie. " She said softly.
Degan sat with Aurelius wrapped in his arms. He spoke soothingly to her and she was already getting her back to herself again. Of course Navar was helping by telling funny stories of his time in Anstopfia. Her frequent giggles and laughter, helped to ease Degan's heavy heart. He was thankful for Navar's help.
~~~
Bertram came back into the room ans sat down on the side of the bed. "There has been a situation. The Alphas want you in the penthouse. It seems reality has found us already." He replied softly.
~~~
Aeval shook her head, "No, Bob doesn't need to hear whatever has happened. Besides, his parents will be back soon, I don't want to alarm them needlessly, when they return to find everyone is gone." She replied quietly, as Bob played with her hair.
~
Zypher waited patiently in the hallway for them.
Islanzadi looked around her. She didn't know much about the city, so she didn't know where she'd want to go.
"Hm...Do you want to just wander, and see if we eventually find something that peaks our interest?" Islanzadi suggested.
"That's a good idea, I'm not very familiar with the city myself." Cicero looked meaningfully around them, before he whispered, " I mostly flew over it."
Islanzadi nodded in understanding.
"What are your wings like?" Islanzadi asked curiously, being very quiet so nobody overheard. She was just very curious about what they looked like since she hadn't ever seen a Sylph's wings before.
"They are very large and have black and gray feathers. My brethren were once called an angel...if you understand the reference. I however, do not. Oh, and we supposedly smell like Sandalwood. For a friend has told me so." Cicero explained simply.
"Ah, so they resemble angel wings." Islanzadi said, listening intently. While she didn't know much about the city, she knew a lot about human culture and their religions. "They sound amazing. Though, of course, I think the ability to fly in itself is amazing." Islanzadi told him and smiled.
Reaper turned and stretched out his neck to Slygotha with a serpentine smile. "It won't be much longer, my love. For you've cared for them tirelessly. They are a strong brood, I know they are, for they will have to be. Did you sleep well?" He inquired softly as he watched the eggs dance with their impending hatch.
"I slept much better than I had for quite a while, with you here by my side. My mind seems to be wandering of late. What changes have you seen, love, in our vast world? The humans, they are no longer rock hurling barbarians, but eloquent in their own awkward ways. I get this feeling... No. It is just my mother's instinct. My mind races, but we have lived for a long time as the pinnacle predators here in this place." She shifted uneasily. " Would it be overkill if I wanted to further hide the entrance to our den?" Slygotha fiddled with her claws, feeling rather sheepish. She is feeling emotional, with such a long awaited event. "I would like to make it.. underwater, so it is completely invisible. We are good swimmers, no? " Slygotha looked away. " I'm being irrational, aren't I."
"You really think so?!" Cicero asked, as he began to feel a little bit better about having hidden wings. He smiled softly to himself as he thought about that. Islanzadi didn't think he was a freak of nature, that was always a plus.
"Do you think I'm a liar?" Islanzadi asked humorously and grinned. "But yes, I really think so. And I'd love to see them, but that would be a terrible idea in a city full of humans." Islanzadi slightly wondered why Cicero seemed so surprised by her thinking his wings sounded amazing. It seems like it would be a rather natural reaction, since wings themselves were, in her opinion, interesting.
Reaper was pleased that she had slept well, even if it send a pang of guilt to his heart. He should not have left her as long as he had. He stood and moved closer to Slygotha. "Easy love, it is true the world around us has changed vastly. But in our corner of the earth, our world has stayed the same." He said soothingly to her. He then shared his observations of the modern world and it's aggressive humans. He also described their great metal machines that flew them in the air. When he was finished, he looked to the entrance to think of ways to accomplish her desires. "If you want an underwater entrance, then we must dig an air shaft or we will slowly suffocate. It is true, we do swim good, so we could always look for a new cave, perhaps one that is already with an underwater opening. " He offered as possible solutions.
Cicero grinned unabashedly and explained, "Why, no! I don't think you're a lier. " He said with a shrug, before he continued, "It's just that no one has ever really made a fuss over my wings before. But I must admit, it's pretty nice to be appreciated for simply being me." He said with conviction. Cicero looked to Islanzadi curiously, still trying to figure her out. She was a very complex individual and challenged him in so many ways.
