"It was loud. And very very very busy. They don't really have a rural area at all. The language was crazy! Everyone talks so fast and it makes no sense." She shrugged. "It's nothing like our language."

"Yeah I know." She took another bite out of her cookie,"But it was definitely weird. That guy needed a good slap upside the head."

Nashton chuckled lightly and said, "I can only imagine. I mean, I've seen movies made in China and it seemed really intense. " He then took a sip of his water.

Orson nodded and stated, "But I wouldn't dare try it. I don't have a death wish."

"It's really confusing. But it's cool. Most stuff. They still barter for stuff in malls, there aren't a lot of set prices."

Kristen nodded,"He was definitely scary. He had something against humans though... I felt a little bit offended. But then again, he did want to sacrifice you."

Danika frowned but nodded at the explanation as she waited for them to arrive wherever they were going.

Anna nodded then shrugged a little "He isn't going anywhere, we will keep guards on him regardless." She said and held open the door to let them out.

"If you do not fly, then yes." Foneth said and chuckled, standing and starting to walk "They climb the mountains, so trying to get them can be tricky even when you do fly, but the hardest part is if you try to walk the mountains with them."

Bardou smiled a little, looking for Spyro in the crowd as he waited for her to start.

Shaylee shrugged a little "You seem to forget that the fae have not been active in this realm for centuries. You keep calling these people my friends, but I have not been here long in the first place. I doubt you have anyone that would know me here besides Danika." 

When they reached the penthouse floor, Ackley pulled out the key when the doors opened and Ravek lead Danika out. She then fell in behind them.

Zypher was waiting for them at the apartment door. "Welcome back safe. I trust all went well." He said to Ravek. He then looked down to smile warmly at Danika. "Hello young one. I'm Zypher." He said gently.

"Good, because I'll be back. " Xatia said as she forced herself to leave out the door Anna held open.

"Now they sound very determined to live. I do so appreciate a match of intellect and skill." Ender admitted openly as he shifted into his great dragon form and caught up with Foneth.

When Spyro came in last and closed the double doors behind him, he dipped his head to the queen as he moved through the gathered Sylphs to stand by her side in the traditional spot.

As the voices settled down into an expectant silence, Avalon addressed them. " As you may already know, Ender has unlocked the inner dragon and has achieved a full shift." As questions were asked simultaneously, Avalon held up her hand for silence. "I do not yet understand the circumstances as to how or why he has achieved this act. I chose instead to use it to expediate the full equality of all Sylphs. As Ender has proven, you are in fact two natured. We have persecuted are brothers for too long and I'll not abide it any further." Where she had expected celebration, there was utter silence. "Does this not please you?" She asked quietly.

Spyro spoke up at last to speak for them all, "They dare not hope to soon, my queen. For fear it will not come to pass and that would be worse."

Avalon rose from her throne and looked each and everyone in the eye to show the conviction of her next words. "I am the queen! My word is law. I do not speak untruths or deal in half measures. You will all be free and you will all be equal, by the powers of my bloodline, I vow this!"

At that, they flared their wings and surmounted a cry of elation.
(Sorry it took so long, I really had to think about this. )

"Ah, now see right there? You brought up a very important fact. One that I quite honestly have to say, kind of eluded me until now. The whole bird in the hand vs the two in the bush distracted me. How about I just torture her. Because, I'll be quite honest with you, I didn't have anyone. I just wanted to see what you'd do. Thank you for telling her to run. I doubted I'd ever get the two of you apart without it getting ugly. I should have thanked Gideon. Oh, but it's too late for that, isn't it?!" Markus said with humor. He turned to look at Pariah, "I'll let you do the honors, you do have a flair for the fae. But I do want her horn. It'll look nice on my trophy wall." He said with anticipation. Knowing the general would be no match for Pariah. She could reacquire her from him easy.

"It sounds like a completely different world. How amazing!" Nashton said, as he moved out of the way for the waitress to place their plates on the table. "Thank you, everything looks wonderful! " He said with obvious approval.

"We definitely couldn't have that. Especially since I'm so fond of living." Orson said with levity.

"Thank you!" She nodded gratefully to the waitress before staring down at her food hungrily,"Looks better than burnt pizza. Yes?" She took her first bite and nodded happily,"Perfect!"

"Well I'm quite fond of you living too so let's keep it that way." She laughed. She downed the last of her iced tea and set it down with a plunk. "That was great. Thank you, Love."

"It smells better too." Nashton said matter-of-factly, before picking up the chopsticks. He watched her a moment, to get the gest of how to use then. He carefully worked them to get a bite of shrimp. "Oh, yeah, much better the burnt pizza. " He said with appreciation.

Kristen shrugged,"I just wanna be prepared I guess. You can never be too careful. We don't know what could come in here or what could be out there when we leave."

"The only thing your burnt pizza deserved, was an unmarked grave in the trash can." Nashton said as he gained more skill and confidence with the chopsticks.

"But you can't keep draining yourself continuously. It's not good for you. The entrance of this realm is well guarded by a goddess, Fae and shifters. Markus will not be getting in here, I assure you. " Orson said thoughtfully.

( How are you holding up? You've had a pretty busy schedule here lately. I hope all is well. )

Reaper chuckled softly and said in agreement, "Yes, very predictive and a promising start, I must admit." He looked to their trouble makers and once again found them testing themselves against each other. Reptar and Nevitha were locked in play combat, while Valsath sat on a rotten log gorging himself with grubs he rooted out of the spongy wood.

( I'm alright. We hit the road again in the morning, and I'm the driver from Oregon to Santa Clara now. Been a gruelling drive, especially being the able bodied one.)
Slygotha stood up straight and clapped her wings to get attention. She felt they had been out long enough, and wished for her wyrmlings to get some rest. She wanted them to start off towards home before the dawn started, since they wished to remain unseen by the locals. She pondered a territorial roar; they were oh so satisfying. " What say you, Reaper, that we claim this hunting ground as our own before we go? I see several trees that I could claw up over there. I realize there are not likely to be other dragons about, but there is the fun of claiming. And it is another opportunity to teach the wyrmlings about our ways."

Kristen sighed and nibbled on the last bit of the cookie,"I know I'm being paranoid... You don't quite understand. I don't want to feel weak anymore. I don't want all those people to have to risk their lives, guarding us. It bothers me."

Kyth smiled reassuringly to Aurienne and started walking once again. "We should probably get moving before we draw unwanted attention. " He said reasonably.

Aurienne followed, silently wondering what he meant. How were they drawing unwanted attention by simply talking?
