"Do you know Axel?" Calum asked, wondering if this man worked in the secret agency.

"I know a Axel, he's a funny guy. But if you're talking about a certain Axel, than I probably don't know him." Harold explained.

"Agent Axel," Calum said quietly.

Astrid slowly came out of the bathroom, feeling queasy. She sat beside Raine and stared at the picture. "That's my mother." Even saying the words made her sadder. She breathed deeply to hold back tears.

Raine wrapped his arm around Astrid to comfort her. "Cry if you must. It's just us. She was very beautiful, you mother." He said quietly.

Astrid gently pushed Raine away. "There is something I must tell you... When I was very young that man, Calum, found my family. He discovered our secret. When he began to hunt us we ran to the city to hide. One day he caught my mother, and we never saw her again, It was only a few years later that he killed my father." Astrid began to cry. "I barely got away." She tried to keep from crying, and calmed her breathing. "I never told the Shape Shifters. They thought my parents had been killed during hunting season. I was so afraid to tell you." Tears rolled down her cheeks, and Astrid's words were barely understandable. "I couldn't lose you too."

Anna saw a photo shop and headed for it in her quest to find a job. She had found a camera left behind one time and had taken many pictures with it of the flora in the forest, always careful not to be seen with it, but it had stopped working and she had stowed it away in her den. She didn't know it had just run out of film

Jason had stopped at a newspaper place to try to get a job there.

Calum walked over to her, curiously. "Can I help you?"

Maybe your mother is alive and that monster has her. We must find out the truth and help her, if she is alive." Raine said rationally.
