He looked at her sternly and said in a whisper, "You know who I mean. The humans." Sandor could smell the forest on her. So he knew she was a shifter, but what species he didn't have a clue. He looked behind her before asking. "Are you alone?"

He nodded as he said, "Unfortunately. Well, you haven't been out here, wondering around all night have you?" He look at her still damp clothing and frowned deeply.

"Forget the jobs! That's how they will find us. It's too dangerous right now. We need to stay off the radar, live incognito, until things settle down a bit. My name is Sandor, by the way." He glanced around again, before he bent over to get the trash bag he'd set down. "Come with me if you want or not. It makes no difference to me."

Sandor saw that she was following, which he was relieved about. "So, what is your name? Usually when someone gives you their name, you usually offer yours in return." He said conversationally. They came to the fire escape and motioned for her to go up first.

Sandor chuckled softly at that. "My family have always come into the city. Mainly to spy on the humans. Learn their ways and habits. See my great grand father knew this day would happen. So we prepared for it." He got quite for a few moments. "At great cost to my family. We're almost there. Just three more flights of stairs." He instructed Autumn.
