Buchanan closed his eyes as he laid motionless on the stretcher. He could help imagine what would happen to Carrow if he died. What would Nix do to his wife, or even his daughter?

Liana obediently followed Carrow's orders.

"What you doing?" She asked seeing Keira gaze thoughtfully at the bed.

Aiden followed the gurney into the Emergency room. He was stopped by the police to give his statement. He watched helpless as the rolled him into the operating room.

Carrow got her purse and keys. She then picked up Liana and headed to the elevator. When she got to the parking garage she got Liana strapped in safety and headed for the hospital.

Keira said half under the bed, "I'm going to Bob Vila this bed. however my weapon of choice, is duct tape." She joked.

Astrid softly hummed a song, one her mother used to soothe her when she was hurt.

Liana wanted to ask what was wrong, but she knew she shouldn't by the way Carrow was distressed.

Azure watched him curiously with a playful smile. "I'm a mermaid," She said over exagerageted, 'and NOT a siren." She giggled a little then quieted. "I know what you mean. I fear the same thing. Have... Have you every seen a mermaid besides me?" Azure voice was filled with hope, the ocean was too large to search for mermaids, but since this place hunted them, maybe Degan had met one, and if so she would know that she wasn't alone.

Degan frowned slightly at Azure. "I'm very sorry. I thought they were one and the same. As far as seeing another, I have spent most of my 40 years of life, a captive here. I have never seen any of your kind, until today. I have only escaped my cell one time and it was for not. There is no doors to the outside. No windows either. They quickly caught me again and made the forcefield and collar. I hadn't even seen any of the other shifters they have caged here. Just hallways of handle less doors.

"Oh," Azure breathed, feeling the spark of hope she had earlier begin to fade. "How long do you think I have, before they come to take my DNA?" It was an odd question, but she wanted to be prepared, and not to mope around waiting for the doctor's arrival.

"No!" Amar breathed, surprised by his answer. "That's not what I meant. I was afraid that if I left in the morning to return home you would be mad. I, understand that you have to leave." She became quiet, thinking about how much she would miss him.

Zypher stood by the van and looked towards Navar. He felt for him, but they had to go. "Navar? Are you coming?" He called out to him.

Navar looked over at Zypher, then looked back at Amar. "I'll come back as soon as I can, I swear to you. Be safe. Goodbye, my love." He said as he got up to go.

"Oh," Azure breathed, feeling the spark of hope she had earlier begin to fade. "How long do you think I have, before they come to take my DNA?" It was an odd question, but she wanted to be prepared, and not to mope around waiting for the doctor's arrival.

Degan frowned slightly as he thought about that. It could be days it could be hours. You'll only know when the come to get it." He said.

Xavier told him to get them, he won't stop until he does. He wants that spell that bad. They are all that is important to him, right now." She grabbed her head and screamed and crumbled to the ground in agony. "I have said too much!" She cried out.

Raine settled down again, this time on the table. He waited in the blindfolded for the eventual pain. It dawned on him, that he was going to have to stay in his raven form until he was healed. Thank goodness he could talk in both forms.

Luce read through the pressure twice. Finally ready she got the numbing cream and rubbed a generous amount on the affected area. Raine squawked loudly at first, but then settled down. She then got the tongue-depressesers. "Okay, Mixie. Do you want to wrap the wing or pull it?" She asked quietly.

"I'll wrap it." Mixie said, looking at the raven.

Luce nodded at Mixie. She then tested the numbness by plucking the under wing feathers, so she could see the break better. "Raine, I have good news. It isn't broken all the way. Only one bone is broken. However it is the primary one. But once we get it splinted, it will be fine. Ok here we go, please try not to move, it will only prolong the setting. I know it's easier said than done."

"I'll try and do my best." Raine promised quietly.

Luce nodded to Mixie again and quickly pulled and lined up the broken bone and put the sticks in place. She held them firmly in place, while Mixie wrapped it.

Mixie began wrapping it. "How long until it heals?" Mixie asked Luce.

Luce looked at the printout, "It doesn't say, I hope by him being a shifter, it will be faster than a regular bird." She speculated.

"Could we take him to the vet?" She asked.

Luce shook her head, "I don't think that is a good idea. But it's up to them." She said.

Raine growled at the concept, "No humans! It was because of them, that this happened to me." He said angrily.

"I know, but it isn't a vet's fault. I went to the vet once, it's not bad. But, of course, it's completely your choice." Mixie said simply. She thought it was a good idea, but she wasn't going to bother him about it.

Raine tilted his head and said, "No humans. I trust you both." He then went back to listening to Astrid's beautiful song.

Angela moved over to her to cradle her head in her lap. She shook her head sadly even as she stroked her hair back softly. "But they are dead too" She whispered then started to hum gently, wanting to make her feel better.

Ember looked around the van as they prepared to leave the mountains to go to the city.

Jason glanced to him then started the uhaul to lead them back home again.

Carrow pulled up at the hospital. She parked and collected Liana, then headed into the Emergency room. Going to the front desk. "I'm looking for my husband! He was brought in as a hit and run. Is he alright? Where is he?" The woman behind the desk said, "Ma'am! You have to calm down. You are causing a scene. Now, you need to fill out these papers. He is in surgery." Carrow glanced at the paperwork and then glared at her. "Why must I fill out paperwork, this has nothing to do with saving his life. I want to see him!" She demanded. "Ma'am, do I have to call security?" The woman asked.

Aiden hearing the conversation walked over to her. "Excuse me, ma'am. I am the one who found him in the street."

Carrow turned to look at the stranger. "Really? Thank you for your help. What happened? " She asked concerned.

"Come over here and let's get this filled out while I fill you in." Aiden said helpfully.
