Raine insisted on perching on the back of Astrid's chair. He didn't need to eat a lot in this form. Plus, he secretly loved the idea of Astrid slipping him a bite here and there.

Carrow walked into the room and looked at a sleeping Buchanan. She then quietly went over to him to touch his cheek. He was so still, she had to prove to herself that he was alive. Letting out a breath she sat down in the chair beside the bed and centered Liana in her lap. "It's alright sweetheart. He just got hurt. He'll be alright soon." She said soothingly to the frightened fawn. She wrapped her arms around her and started rocking gently.

Keira grunted at the weight of the mountain lion. But she nibbled on Sonora front paw in retaliation.

Astrid sat down at the table and began to place small portions of food on her plate. She picked a small seed out of the crust of her bread and held it near Raine's mouth.

Liana sighed with relief and studied Buchanan's thoughtful face.
(Three hours later....)
Buchanan awoke suddenly from a nightmare, he jerked up, but after pain shocked his body he slowly back down. His eyes closed as he gritted his teeth, hoping that the throbbing pain would pass, but it didn't. When he opened his eyes again, and saw Carrow and Liana. He smiled, even though it was painful.

Sonora's claw came out and she scratched Keira playfully.

Amar cautiously mounted a thesteral. She gently patted it on the neck and said in a soft voice, "Please take me to Navar."

The Thesteral bolted skyward and landed next to Navar, dirt flying everywhere. Sirène covered her face. "Hello." She said to Amar, but inhaled some dirt and coughed.

Mia shook it warmly. "Hello, nice to meet you too."

"So, are you finally done looking for shifters? I'm always worried you'll get caught." Carly asked Ember. "I can't make any promises. Better me than anyone else." Ember replied. She looked at the sky as it started pouring rain. "Let's go inside before we're all soaked." She said. She led Mia inside.

Mia shyly walked inside.

Azure was shocked by his reaction, she hadn't been making fun of him. She returned to the bath and lowered her head above the water. The thought of him not wanting to be around her made her heart ache in a way it never had before. She closed her and imagined a peaceful ocean.

Degan read the book he had read a thousand times. How he would love a new book. He glanced over at Azure and sighed. He could never figure her out. Just then the door opened. Degan stood up and went to step in front of the bathtub. Ready to protect her from the Warlock. "What brings you here, Xavier? " He demanded harshly.

Xavier chuckled softly at his words. "I believe you know what has brought me here. She is right behind you." He explained simply.

Mia shyly walked inside.

Carly put a kettle full of milk on the stove and got some cocoa. "Do you want some hot chocolate, Mia? It's good." She asked her nicely as Ember started a fire in the wood stove.

Taylor stood up, shifted, and went to the kitchen,"Can I help?" She smiled.

Carrow waited patiently for Buchanan to wake up. When he awoke like that. She knew he was reliving the accident. She smiled reassuringly at him, but she could see the pain on his face. "Hey." She said softly.

Keira growled low as she dropped and slipped out from under her. Keira then grabbed Sonora tail and tugged it lightly.

Zypher couldn't eat another bite. So he nursed his tea. Glancing over at Taylor. That one concerned him. They may have to put up drapes to keep her shifting from being seen by nosy humans with telescopes. It was a shame, it's such a lovely view. He would greatly miss it. The lamented to himself.

Luce finished and started gathering the dirty dishes and taking them into the kitchen.

Cadeon helped her clean up.

Nashton quietly finished eating and took his plate into Luce. "Thanks sis." She grinned, "You cook, I scrub. That's the love." He replied happy.

Ashton bowed her head, as she rolled the x-ray machine out of the room and down the hallway.

Arran froze at the thought of that. Whoa, that's a long time to live. But went back to watching the others talking.

Jason got up to help them also. He glanced to Anna but noticed she was watching Zypher and shrugged a little then went on to the kitchen with the dishes he held.

He is also considered evil because he can speak to snakes with ease, and usually any wizard who can do that is evil.

Azure heard nothing under the water, her eyes still close as she remembered every small detail the beach. Picturing herself swimming through the water, and that getting caught had only been a nightmare.
