Jackdaw found himself drawn to the castle again. He was risking disaster. He'd tried to soothe his curiously about the female. But here he was, going into his enemies house. There was safety in the numbers of the crowd. He was still royalty at heart. Even if he was a banished and hunted member of Avalon's court. But then they thought he was dead. So they wouldn't really be looking for him, now would they? He remained himself as he walked by one of the royal Sylph. Not even a glint of recognition. It only emboldened Jackdaw.
