Fetch looked at Anna and frowned. "That's the new one. Why would Markus want her X-rayed?" He demanded.

Ashton dropped her bag on the metal table and said, "Do you have a PhD? No? Big surprise there! Well, she has a posable dislocation of the collar bone if not a hairline fracture. He wants her captured, not crippled. Now can you get back to doing your job, instead of having me trying to teach you mine?" She said in annoyance.

Fetch looked at her with hate-filled eyes. "You think you're better then everyone else, don't you?" He replied with contempt. He then looked at Anna and whispered the release spell. The collar made a click as it disengaged.

Arran nodded understanding. "It makes sense and some of these gaurds deserve what they have coming. But there are a few that are decent. " She said sadly.

Nektar looked away. For he had a hard time believing that. He'd only met the mean ones.

Anna moved quickly once the collar had clicked open, She used one hand to grab it then hold the man, pushing him against the wall even as her other hand came up with her small knife, aiming for his throat so he couldn't raise a cry. Once the man was dead, she looked to Bertram and spoke the release spell, glad for her wolf hearing now.

"If there are any that you like and trust, have them give up when this happens. The pack is ruthless when they have to be, but they are the type that would accept prisoners" Ember said then shrugged "And prisoners can be freed later if they have a mind to"

Angela was quiet, thinking about the people she had met here.

Raymer frowned deeply. "How can that be. You told me you felt her die. That cannot be faked. Don't get me wrong, I hope she's alive for your sake." He explained nicely.

He shook his head, as he picked up the bags of cans again. "Well good thing I have enough to go strait to the recycling center. But you however, need to get back to the apartment. When I get back, we are going to have a very candid conversation. I don't know what I have gotten myself into with you. But I need to stay invisible. I can't get caught again." He said absently.

Aaran nodded slowly not sure if Enoch was okay with him pursuing the subject but he did,"Were you a general back then?"

Enoch slowly shook his head. Then looked at Aaran. "No, I was a potential royal. But when my powers arrived and my ability to shift did not. It was a disappointment for all involved. But especially for my father. Racine understood me and took me under his care. He was the one to show me how to control my powers. Then he showed me how they could be used as a weapon. Racine has accepted us all, as worthy of something far greater then an outcast. He made us generals in his army. Perhaps in time, he too will offer that privileged to you. You would be the first non-fey general. But the potential is there." He said with respect

Degan was amazed by her words, but mostly doubtful. "But you told me, we were miles down. How is that even possible?" He inquired.

Aurelius sighed and said, "Very old magic. Older then even Xavier's."

"Speaking of magic. How did you know my collar wasn't working? " Degan asked curiously.

Aurelius looked at him sympathetically, yet sheepishly. "But I've always known the spells to the collars. I whispered it while you were talking with Zia." She explained simply.

Degan was shocked by her admission. "All this time and I never knew." He said quietly.

Taylor didn't realize how touchy he was right now. "Nashton, I was just joking, you know." She said quietly. She rested her head on his shoulder, thankful to be in his arms. "I love you." She whispered then started to drift off to sleep.

"I don't know." He declined politely but he really wasn't sure if he was offered the position if he wouldn't take it. It might be the only way to no longer be a servant. It might be the only way to have his princess. Then the other generals couldn't treat him like that. It really would be a privilege to serve the king.

Bertram watched quietly but was ready to assist with anything. When she quickly dispatched the gaurd to his fate. He smiled pleased. But the sweetest sound was the collar falling to the floor. He reached up to touch the tender flesh on his neck in disbelief. "Thank you."

Falkirk bowed his head to his father and said, "Evening father. Please allow me to make introduction. This is princess Star. The enchanting unipeg I've been telling you about. Princess Star, this is prince Jatevt." He said as he smiled sweetly at her.

Jatevt smiled graciously and bowed deeply. "What a pleasure it is to finally make your acquaintance. You are as beautiful as your mother." He said as he straightened.

Anna quickly cleaned her knife then searched the guard for weapons. She didn't need them, as she had just proven, but they were better than being unarmed. She glanced around and noticed the mermaid, going over to free her while they were there.
