Orson listened intently to Jackie. An inbetween space? That sounded interesting and useful. He then asked, "So when do we do the perception glamor? I'm not sure I can act feminine, but I'll give it a shot." Orson stated with some humor. He then grinned at Kristen.

Zypher nodded, "Yes, they are probably fortifying the entrance. If not evacuating. " He said in thought.

Bertram smiled as he said, "Kelpie, especially the males move around a lot. The females usually stay in the waters of their birth."

Graydon gently put do the pinecone and walked over to Kyra. "The humans are arrogant enough to think they control all things natural. But really it's only a lesson in futility." He said quietly.

Ender thought of a way to best explain it to Star. "When I said, 'tasted the magic', I ment that she drew some of the magic from the amulet within herself and analyzed it." He said.

Ericsson scoffed at her words. "I don't believe that for one second. Now stop being so hard on yourself. You have been, go, go ,go, since I've got here. There is nothing wrong with taking a break." He replied honestly.

"Oh, we can do that now too" Jackie said and looked back to him and Kristen "You two will need to stand together away from the others and face each other while you speak the spell." Aurora came over to them to lend her help also.

Anna nodded then sighed and pressed close to him. She was tired now, but wouldn't rest until they were free.Adreneline would kick in when things got more interesting again.

"Really? That's cool" Estelle said and grinned. "I bet it was fun to go around and see new places all the time"

"Oh" Star said and looked back to the stars again. She figured that would be something else she would have to learn about, but did understand a little. "Like a dog or wolf finding a scent trail on the ground, only with magic to be that guide"

Rosie closed her eyes at his words then shook her head and turned to wrap her arms around him. "I don't ever want to lose you" She said then looked to him, watching his eyes "You mean so much to me already"

Aaran sleepily rubbed his eyes. It was still dark, but he couldn't fall back asleep. He had gone to bed too early. He got out of bed and started to walk around the halls, looking for something to amuse himself. He walked along, peeking into doors when he saw Elina's room. He stared in, happy to watch her sleep. It was soothing.

"A lot of good my separate forms have done." Taylor said grumpily,"I get chased by weird guys who want my blood. And you can't under appreciate yourself when there isn't a lot to appreciate. I can shoot a gun, beat up bad guys, and I have you. That's all I need. It isn't much but it's me. And I greatly appreciate those things."

Kristen sighed,"I studied the spells. I think I'm ready. It's like a test but worse."

"Oh, we can do that now too" Jackie said and looked back to him and Kristen "You two will need to stand together away from the others and face each other while you speak the spell." Aurora came over to them to lend her help also.

Anna nodded then sighed and pressed close to him. She was tired now, but wouldn't rest until they were free.Adreneline would kick in when things got more interesting again.


"Really? That's cool" Estelle said and grinned. "I bet it was fun to go around and see new places all the time"

Bertram shrugged and said, "It was fun at first, but there came a time, you just wanted stability. Just being able to know a place like the back of your hand. So that's why I finally came home. Only to get myself caught. Be careful what you wish for. I've been her ten years. Too much stability for me." He smiled at Estelle, at his own joke.

Ender nodded slightly and said, "A very astute observation. Yes, very much like that but more of a sense, then a scent."

Ericsson eagerly embarrassed Rosie. "As I never want to lose you. I feel for the fist time that I have found the other half of my soul. With you I am whole." (Note: I didn't say "Complete me" )

Bertram listened quietly. "You mother sounds like she loves you a lot and only wanted to protect you from harm. You must see now her efforts weren't in vain. There is lot's of evil in this world. So often we go out in it like newborn lambs in the world devours us up. But I sense you are special. Your mother will be delighted to get you back. Hug her tighter and love her stronger. For you now know how cold is is without her love and protection. I know not, what i go home to. For my beloved home and family is not there. I have only instead of certainty, a hope that they are safe." He said heartfelt.

Graydon gently put his arm around her shoulders and said, "But Kyra, that is all that truly matters. I know nothing more then the world of man and I desire it no more. I ask only that you teach me all you know of what my life should have been like."

Ender slowly walked over to the railing. He looked out into the night deep in thought. When he concluded upon a reasonable answer he stated, " I have guarded many and there is only one certainty. It all depends upon how far they want to take it, to achieve their goals. One cannot predict the fanaticism of another. But at lest take comfort in that they were unsuccessful. But now that our gaurd is up, even more so." He then turned to look Star in the eye. "You are precious to us all. We will never let anything happen to you Princess Star.

Ericsson chuckled softly. "If you keep saying sorry, I'm going to tickle you until you forget it from your vocabulary. " He threatened teasingly.

He glanced in and watched her a moment before he turned again to face Aaran. "The true question is, why are you here? Sneaking in the night like a rat in a maze. Did you find that cheese that has tempted you so?" He asked coldly.

"I know" Estelle said and smiled again "I love her too and would never want anything bad to happen to her either." She said then reached over to touch his arm "You know, if you don't like your home as it is now, I'm sure mom would not mind you coming to live near us"

Star smiled again and looked to him then nodded and looked to the darkened gardens again "I know you see me as that, and I am glad that you do. I am not sure what I would do without all of you here" She said softly

Rosie chuckled and shook her head lightly "Sorry" She said teasingly then looked up at him again. She loved that he could make her smile like this, even when she had felt bad earlier.
