Aaran shrugged,"Nothing really. It's just that the pendant has changed colors since I got it. See?" He held it out,"It used to be a milky sort of white and now it's translucent and a bluish white. I wonder if it's like a mood necklace." He joked.

Taylor nodded and got in the van with Nashton. She hated running away.

Nisha smiled slightly and waved. Optimistic people creeped her out. They could, say, have a seizure and come out of it smiling. It meant that they were either really brave or really stupid.

Kristen scowled,"I hate being right. It's like the stupid guy is invincible."

Enoch looked closely at the pendant and nodded. "Yes, it has changed color. That is probably what it means. It is reflecting your emotional state. What are you feeling now? What does the blue color mean?" He asked curiously.

After Zypher nodded to them, he looked wide-eyed at Taylor with a big smile. He had expected him to ask them to stay behind. He held his hand up to Taylor, for a highfive.

Orson looked deeply into Kristen eyes. "But we are getting better at fighting him. So it is fortunate that we have advanced warnings and wolf soldiers on our side." He said reflectively.

"Really? It actually means that?" He shook his head and laughed,"I'm not happy. Happy feels different than this...I think I feel content." He shrugged.

Taylor half heartedly high fived him,"We're running away from Markus." She growled,"What's happy about that?"

Kristen looked away from him. He didn't know it but he made her feel really childish when she was angry. He was always so calm and controlled and she couldn't handle her own emotions. She hated Markus, no she abhorred him, and she couldn't hide it. She made a helpless gesture,"He's had us all trapped before. What's to stop him from doing it again?"

Keldwyn looked at Sirène and said, "I don't think they'd be sick to know you at sea food, just relieved that you ate something other than humans. " She then smiled mischievously at her.

"Well, I eat both. Poor humans never win." Sirène said and chuckled.

Danika shook her head and smiled at them both "I don't need anything really." The only thing she could even think of would be to have her memory back, but she wouldn't ask for that

"I'm glad we could help you." Bellatrix told Fay. "We'll be going, now." She said and turned to leave the alley.

"That is the shifter that helped the humans" Starr corrected softly then sighed and went to sit down again. "I do not know if any of them still live, it was a long time ago" She added then drank her juice.

Angela looked up at the growing darkness with concern. "We won't reach it tonight." She said quietly then looked to Nektar again. That was one thing about flying, it was faster than walking, though she didn't mind the extra time with him.

Kyra also watched for the hidden prize. She wouldn't let them pass by it and stopped when they reached the bush, waiting to see if he would notice or try to walk past.

Jackie smiled at Sergio and nodded "I don't mind if you learn it, it'll be good for you to know anyway, just in case" She said then held out one hand to her and the other to the van as she started to chant the spell. She didn't mind Sergio learning most of her spells, though there were some she would want forgotten instead of learned if they ever came to light. Soon enough, the spell was finished, though the bag she had brought out was now empty and hung limply from her extended hand. 

Anna settled in the seat after giving Auelius' hand a squeeze "No problem" She said then looked to Zypher again "We can go as soon as Jackie is done." 

Ender had to remind himself that not all shifters were long lived. He looked to Star and said, " If that is the case, then I'm unable to deliver vengeance. I'm not accustomed to the concept of a limited lifetime. "

Nektar smiled pleasantly, even though he felt bad for holding her up, even though she would never say that to him. But he couldn't feel bad about spending the extra time with Angela. He was just that selfish. "Well, I suppose we better make up camp. He looked around the barren landscape for a safe place for the night. That's when he was a rock face with an awning like cliff. "We can use that as a camp. There is enough sticks left for a fire." He said helpful.

Graydon registered that Kyra had stopped. He quickly looked for danger and frantically looked for the source. Not seeing anything, he looked at Kyra confused. But her blank face revealed nothing. He then returned to look at the bushes and smiled as he returned husband gaze to her. "How did you know I was obsessing about the bush? You are very clever. I'll learn in time, I'll make you proud one day. You just wait and see." He teased as he ran to retrieve their find. He sprinted back an put the hubcap on like a top hat. He took it off and bowed to her in a grand fashion. "May I have this dance Ma'am?" He asked as he broke off into a chuckle.

Sergio watched and leaned in amazement. Jackie ceased to amaze her. She couldn't help but to feel more like an apprentice, then a host spirit.

Zypher grinned pleased by this latest development. "You have some very interesting friends. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I'm just glad they are on my side. " He said to Anna and Jason, with conviction.

"I'm glad we could help you." Bellatrix told Fay. "We'll be going, now." She said and turned to leave the alley.

Danika hurried to stay with Belltrix. She waved to Fay as the goddess moved to leave the other way out of the alley

Pluma shuffled through a tiny but dense patch of woods in her owl form. She gazed passed the trees into the city. So many times I tried to live there as a human... But I can't control myself... Pluma thought sadly. A bush nearby ruffled and she snapped her yellow gaze toward it and blue lightning flashed toward the bush. Wearily, she peaked behind the shrubs only to see a squirrel pressed against the ground, a blue force nagging at it, pulling it down. "STOP!" Pluma screeched to herself, trying to free the critter. She couldn't...

Pluma rushed away, trying to just leave her problems like they never happened. She spread her wings as she ran and caught the wind, lifting off the ground and bursting through the tree tops. Pluma glided over the city, careful to not fly over crowded areas. She landed behind a building near the edge of the city and shifted. Glancing around, she had not noticed that if someone found the squirrel she left influenced by her powers they would know there is a powerful monster wondering the city.

Nashton made a sound of annoyance. "Running foolhardy into a battle is not bravery, it's stupidity. We got to take care of our alphas. They are vonarable right now. I don't see it as running. It's regrouping until we are at our best." He said with respect.

Orson chuckled and took Kristen's shoulders gently in his hands and turned her to face the portal. There was a hive of activity as the others loaded up and head out. "They are our guarantee." He said to her, as he wrapped his arms around her and rested his head on top of her own. "We are keeping the sleeping ones safe and any others that need it. I have been all around Jackie's property, so I can open a portal anywhere one is needed." He admitted to her. Just in case she thought they were hiding in here.

Keldwyn snorted in great humor. "Yes, they can't win for losing! " She agreed.

"I never thought I'd meet a goddess." Bellatrix said. "My family will be pleased to know that goddesses still roam this earth. There used to be many, but most of them went back to the heavens so they wouldn't be caught by greedy men. In the heavens their powers are the strongest and they're the safest, so it defiantly was the better option for their freedom. But without gods and goddesses roaming this earth, it's not as pure and plentiful as it used to be." She said and sighed sadly.

Pluma rushed away, trying to just leave her problems like they never happened. She spread her wings as she ran and caught the wind, lifting off the ground and bursting through the tree tops.
