Pyro looked up at the cave formations and sais, "Those are stalactites. So this part of the cave had water at one time. It's a result of the limestone dissolving and leaving mineral deposits as it drips."

Degan looked up in awe. "This cave keeps getting better and better!" He said with enthusiasm.

"Wait! I'll be right back! " She said to Dust. Aeval turned back to get directions from the store owner. He drew a map for her on the back of the card.

Dawn glanced at him for a moment as they ran side by side. She pushed herself to run faster, although the sand cut her paws.

Zia nodded with agreement. She plopped down on the ground and stared contently at the ceiling.

Dust stayed put, watching her leave and trying to ignore the humans.

"Wait, were you in the forest when it was cut down?" Bellatrix asked unsurely. "And I'm sure the hawk did not get hit. Their eyes are built to notice everything, one could not miss a tree falling. Though if trees were falling, I wonder why it was even there. Why not fly away for safety? There are many mysteries in this memory." She said, thinking hard.

Danika shrugged and hugged her knees close to keep herself from running off to not think about that memory. She had to make herself think about it, she knew that. "We were fleeing" She said after a quiet minute. "We were scared even before we got to where the trees were falling"

Falkirk was glad to hear that Star equally like spending time with him. "I also enjoy sharing time with you. Almost to the point, I fear I could over stay my welcome by Monopolizing all your time here. " He teased mildly.

Graydon gasped softly. "Oh, they are so beautiful." He said with a whisper. He admired their elegance.

Keira got out of the back and grinned at this new Zypher. She stood silently and waited to be introduced to the new wolf.

Zypher chuckled softly at Anna's unexpected affection. He had a slight blush of levity, as he shut the door and followed after Anna.

Bertram raised his head so he could once again look at Jackie. "Perhaps you've right. I could be rushing things.

Nektar had indecision. "Which is closer. I do not know the area. We are far from Jackie's. This mountain, how far is it from here?" He asked curiously, as he came to a stop.

Star chuckled and looked to him "Well, Sonya may have something to say about that, but I don't think anyone else really minds too much"

Kyra smiled and nodded "Yes, that is one of my favorite scenes. If you stay still and quiet, they stay for quite a while" She whispered back

"Keira,this is my brother, Jason" Anna said, giving the introduction for the two.

Jason came over and held out his hand to shake with her "Hello, I take it you are one of Zypher's teammates, it's good to meet you"

"Time and patience are very valuable things." Jackie said then looked to him and smiled again "Now you have the freedom to explore both"

Angela looked around to get her bearings. That was much easier than it had been before, though this area hadn't been affected by the logging quite so much because of the spiders. "The mountain is that way, if we went there it could take till dark. The city is that way, also a few hours to reach it." She said then shook her head "Halfway to either"

Dawn glanced at him for a moment as they ran side by side. She pushed herself to run faster, although the sand cut her paws.

Jackdaw kept pace with Dawn for a time. But the contrast in forms was providing difficult. He started slowing dispite his efforts. So he started stirring them towards the forests edge. Running on sand was too tiring.

Pyro mimicked Zia and looked up at the ceiling. "It's like we are in the mouth of a massive beast." He observed.

Degan chuckled as his curiosity got the better of him. So he got down on the floor as well. "Wow, that is an interesting perspective. " He agreed.

Aeval hurried back to Dust and took his hand. "Okay, I now have a map. It's three blocks this way." She explained as she stepped in that direction. She looked to Dust, encouraging him to trust her.

Nektar sighed, " The city is complicated. Once there we must find them. The mountain, chances are the would find us. I think we need to go to the mountains. We won't loose time with having to fit in. I can run the whole time. Is that sound logic? " He asked unsure.

Kyra reached over to take his hand. She sent him a smile then looked back to the pair of deer. After a while, they walked off and Kyra looked to him again "When I hunt deer, I try to only take the bucks, I like the does and fawns too much" She admitted

Jason chuckled and shook his head "No, just names are fine. We aren't that formal." He said then shrugged "More like a group of friends or family than the regular hierarchy"

Jackie smiled at him again then looked to the house "I should probably check on Garth, he's so much like a child. It's like he was never allowed to shift before" She said and shook her head a little.

Angela nodded "Yes, and even if we don't find the wolves ourselves, the ones hiding there will know how to reach them." She said then shrugged "And there's no humans there to have to hide from"

Jackdaw wait until they were within the dappled light of the forest. He then bolted.his black fur blended in with the shadows. He then crouched low and waited for Dawn to pounce on.

Pyro looked around for a ledge and got up. He released a fluid from the gland in his mouth. It was slightly thick and would stay in place on the ledge. He then coughed sparked to ignite it. The flammable substance would slowly burn and give them some light. He looked up at the play of light and shadowy teeth on the ceiling. "Oh, now that's dramatic." He said as he moved to his spot again, to enjoy the view from there.

Degan chuckled lightly and watched the play of the shifting light. "Yes, it is. I very interesting to watch." He said absently.

Aeval glanced at the humans as they passed them. She nodded her agreement to his statement. "We just have to get what we need and leave. I'll feel better having currency of this modern time and weapons for our human forms. I have been thinking about a great many things. Us being captured and what Aurora had said." She explained simply.

Ambrosia beamed at her. "So, you are going to be a mother soon? How oddly young I feel, everyone around me seems to be having children. Maybe it's time for me to just settle and start a family. Though that seems unlikely." She stated humorously. "Of course, you cannot be old, I wouldn't dream of it. You are glowing with beautiful youth." Ambrosia seemed quite the positive talker, and complimented a lot. She just liked being nice, it was fun.

"Have you ever tried to catch larger prey? And by that I mean, humans? I have eaten a few humans in my time, really not bad at all." Serpente said. "Of course, with my-...Never mind." She muttered and cleared her throat.

"Well, more of a sister. I am only 19. I just miss having a family... Thank you, you are very nice!" Halfmoon dipped her head.

"Hmm. No, I have not. Shall we try? We can fly over to the city. It will be fun to do some crazy hunting!" Pluma said, lowering a wing so Serpente could climb up. "What were you going to say..?" Pluma added curiously.

"Hmm. No, I have not. Shall we try? We can fly over to the city. It will be fun to do some crazy hunting!" Pluma said, lowering a wing so Serpente could climb up. "What were you going to say..?" Pluma added curiously.

"Well, I only speak the truth." Ambrosia said. "So, if you don't mind me asking, what happened to your family? Or is it just that since you are an adult, your parents are no longer around?" She asked curiously.

Spyro offered, "I can't go find her, if it pleases you, Princess."

Falkirk was hoping he hadn't inconvenienced Sonya. "We could go find her together, if you wish, Princess Star. That way if it is time, there will not be any further delays." He replied softly.

Graydon understood that. "Plus you can't be sure that they don't have a young hid somewhere. It's smart to take the males. It also ensures genetic diversity." He said with conviction. He'd heard Luis speak of the last part often enough. It was very important to his experiments.

Keira smiled and nodded. She then glanced away submissively, "When there was a functioning hierarchy within our packs. The dogma of the maned wolf society, was very strict and ritualistic. I was just a small pup then. But I believe now, that's part of why it fell. We become easy to identify. We had to abandon all of our heritage and scatter to the winds. Never to see pack mates again. If we had adapted your ways, maybe the defection would not have been needed. I've asked your twin, but I feel I must also ask you. May I join with your pack/family?" She said with respect.

"I'm glad we saved him. It would have been a tragedy if he had died. He has known nothing but clinical trials and pain. He knew no better and now he does. He is lucky to have you to guide him and teach him all he has been deprived." He said with pride in Jackie's gentle nature. He then looked back at the cottage like house and smiled. " You're the most caring female I've ever met. You do good with damaged souls." He teased mildly.

"Then it's the mountains. I'm sorry our journey to the city will have to be put off. I know you were looking forward to finding your uncle." Nektar said. He felt remorse thst Angela's search had been interrupted. He focused on the task ahead and headed for the distant mountains.
