Don sighed and shook his head "Remember that this is your choice, I tried to give you an out. Stupid humans" He shook his head again and went back to his place. Once he was out of sight he released a howl, letting the others know they could start the attack, focusing on the humans first.

Star smiled as she walked with him, enjoying the last breath of day as the night took it's place. She liked the fading scents of the roses, and the growing scents of the night blossoms. "Yes, it is very nice out here" She agreed softly.

Kyra smiled at him, glad for his help in getting the heavy buck back to the tree again. Once it was there, she ran up to get the knife so she could start skinning and preparing the meat.

The cave was dark and small, made for creatures the size of the wolf or smaller, a wonderful hiding place.

Two others attacked in a short burst, trying to keep the guards and mutants from fixating on a location and trying to take the human fighters out

Ember easily got up and followed him out, taking a seat with him and snuggling up close.

Jackie came back, taking her seat in the living room and staring at the table without seeing it. She didn't like the news so far, and this was just the start of the battle.

Angela blinked and gently accepted the grape from his fingers. "I don't mind your presence at all. I want to be with you," She said then blushed deeply. 

Rico took cover and nodded to Chaos's handler to release him. To which she gave the release command and sent him charging into the fray. Doing what his name implied. Omen stayed close to the soldiers. It was best to get out of the way of a frenzied Chaos. While the soldiers returned fire on both wolfs and spiders. Getting a bead on their locations by the direction of the gun reports.

Falkirk smiled, even though she couldn't see it. She just made him want to smile constantly. He slowed as they reached the moon flowers section of the night garden. There was a quaint bench set in a arbor right across from them. So one could enjoy there splendor with out rush. He gently guided Star over to it.

The bothers going to each side of the arbor. Where their protection was close, but not intrusive.

While she field dressed the buck, Graydon started the task of collecting sticks, vines and wood she needed for the jerky curing process.

Jim used the butt of his gun to try and dislodge one of the wolves from his friend. "Get off, you mangy mutt!" He said with contempt. As the others openly fired on the other wolf. They had to get to that signal so they could get out of here. That's the whole reason they were out here to begin with.

Zypher focused and fired. Cursing when it failed to drop his opponent. It made him long for armor piercing rounds. Because they obviously had on Kevlar. He focused again for a head shot. First on a human, then on one of the hybrids. But it was to late, they were in constant movement now. He'd fire, but they weren't there when the bullet arrived.

Wrath shot poisonous quills at a few wolves. While Phury was snorting flames and swing his horns around wildly.

Cadeon savored this time with Ember. As she snuggled into him, he absently rubbed her back and rested his chin atop her head.

Garth watched as Jackie walk into the living room. He noticed her blank stare as she sat on the couch. So he slowly came over, unsure of his intrusion and if it would be welcomed. She calmed him with her presence and he sensed tension within her. So he sat on the floor next to her feet and lightly rested his shoulder aginst her leg. He'd protect her while she was in her thoughts. It was something that seemed important to him.

Bertram finished up his last glass of water. He came out of the kitchen and looked for Jackie. He stop at the sight that was before him. He tipped his head and walked over to sit on the other side of Jackie. He made sure to make just enough sound to not startle either one.

Nektar smiled pleasantly, his deepest hope now validated. "Then it's settled, where ever we go or stay, we do it together." He brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it delicately.

Many wolves focused on trying to bring this Chaos down, and many fell, though they would fight until they were killed.

When Graydon came back, Kyra showed him how to set up the drying racks and fire so the jerky would cure yet be safe from the many small creatures that would try to take it before it was ready.

The wolf released and darted back into hiding, shifting again to shoot at Wrath. A few wolves fell when the poison reached them, but that just made the others focus more on taking Wrath down first, since he was a bigger threat.

The wolves did not try to get close to Phury, using only their guns to try to take him out. Anna threw a grenade towards the center of the human mass, wanting to take them out for the pain they had caused her.

Ember sighed happily, settled into his embrace. She was content to be with him and watch the natural world Jackie had surrounded her cabin with.

"Another battle has started, that was Jason, giving us an update" Jackie said, looking to Garth then running her fingers through his hair lightly then looking to Bertram. "Marcus will have sent his best to recapture Anna and Zypher"

Angela blushed and nodded "Yes, we stay together, no matter where our road takes us." She agreed then moved, reaching up a bit to kiss his cheek then settling at his side again.

Jackdaw stopped at the library's door. He opened it and held it for Dawn. He looked at her face and wondered what she was doing.

Navar frowned and looked at her as well.

Pyro looked down at the strange creatures. He circled until her received a command.

Degan was shocked by what he saw. He looked wide-eyed at Zia. "What are those creatures?" He asked dumbfounded.

Aeval was pleased with Dust's negotiation skills.

Dawn smiled and looked at the two boys. "What?"

"Well, that was kind of depressing." She said quietly and chuckled.

Chaos roared it's fury. When wolves would get ahold of a less lethal head, the others would come to it's defense. Either biting or burning it with acid or gas vapor. It's scales deflected their bullets easy. They were like steel.

Omen channeled from his Phoenix power. He drew on his fire mechanism and projected them outward, created balls of fire that he directed at the wolves and spiders, as he forged a 20 foot wall of flames around the clearing. Effectively splitting the enemies numbers half. His eyes glowed with the power need to accomplish this and hold it.

We do live without any known end to our lifespans after all, and they have stayed cooped up for centuries of Earth time" She said then shrugged "Many would find it hard to adjust to today's Earth since they still think like it's the old Earth"

Wrath growled as he focused on a a few wolves and smiled as blood ddribbled out of nose and ears before they crumbled to the ground. He then looked for his next victim with satisfaction.

Sam manage to kick the grenade away in time before it detonated. But just barely. He then ran to get the rocket launcher to return the favor to whoever sent the grenade. When something grabbed him from behind. He screamed as he went up into the air.

Phury was clawing at the trees and tearing them down. Trying to trap wolves under them. He screamed his annoyance, as flames from above caught his attention. He roared at the red and black fire dragon with a rider.(Pyro and Zia)

Degan (winged lion) snatched up one of the soldiers running to the vehicle and took to the air. At a great height he let him drop.

Cadeon watched the few wolves do patrol of the property. It made him want to hold on to Ember all the more. It was a visual reminder of the perilous times they live in.

Bertram was speechless. He hadn't expected the war to be happening again do soon. He looked to Garth and felt remorse for what ever created their brotherin was up against. "Yes, I'm sure Markus wanted to insure his success in that mission. May our fighters be victorious." He said softly.

Garth just stared ahead to hide his tears. His fellow lab mates were going to die. He knew that they were viewed as nothing but dumb animals. He closed his eyes and concentrated on Jackie stroking his hair.
