Markus held out his hand for the key to the cell. Never talking his eyes off of Don. When he felt the cool key hit his palm he stepped forward to unlock it. " You can come with me easy or you can come with me hard. Your choice, it matters not to me. Only the end result is what matters." He explained simply.

There was a movement in the garden, that put the brothers on alert. They drew their swords. Spyro took sentinel, while Ender went to investigate the disruptions source.

Falkirk looked out into the darkness alarmed for Star's safety. He had armed himself with a dagger to help in her defense.

Graydon stood and flung the goo from his makeshift scraper and hands. He casted Kyra a crooked grin. "Naw, too prestigious for this old man. Walking sticks are for the young." He explained humorously.

Allen stopped at the rough tug at his bound hands. He looked at the Alpha female and said, " Allen, ma'am. I'm just a grunt. I have no value really." He downplayed his rank.

Wrath frowned at shifted to his human form. It was a lot easier to talk in this form. "My classified name is Wrath. But Elena called me Jaxon." He looked back at her charred remains. "Nice to meet you Jackie. You are the first on this ridge that hasn't tried to kill me." He said with quietly resolve. He looked at her again with questions in his eyes. "Why?"

Don tilted his head a little "And just where do you think I would go?" He asked reasonably for now. It wasn't like he could go anywhere with his feet bound, at least not on his own, but he wanted information

Star stood, looking out over the garden, but not leaving her place with the males. She didn't know what had caused the disturbance, but she didn't like it. "Should we go back inside?" She asked quietly

Kyra laughed happily at his playing then got up and headed for the water to clean her hands and the knife up "Oh, really?"

Anna tilted her head a little then shook it and sighed "Did you know that a human's heartbeat speeds up when they lie?" She asked, not that she could hear that well after all the gunfire and explosions, but she had to test him like this to see if he was telling the truth "Wolves do have exceptional hearing after all"

Jackie smiled at him when he shifted "Because I rescue and help those that need me, while the wolves fight for their people's very survival and homes. Did you know that this land has belonged to shifters since the first one?" She asked curious as to what he had been told about them.

The spider looked at Eleanor and explained to her just what was going on.

Eleanor looked to him, "You'll get to live, and we have many unicorn horns that we can offer. Golden ones, which would get a human lots of money. We also have dark ones and light ones."

Marx waited patiently and looked to Eleanor as she spoke. "Money means nothing to me. Sanctuary from Markus holds more appealing prospects. Can you grant me that?" He asked calmly.

"So have mermaids. Of course mermen have also, but mermaids do most of the hunting." She told Keldwyn.
"That's terrible luck, being eaten by horses. Or people with fish tails. It sounds insane." Sirène said with humor.

Keldwyn smiled and said, "Terrible for them, but wonderful for us." She clarified with levity.

Marx waited patiently and looked to Eleanor as she spoke. "Money means nothing to me. Sanctuary from Markus holds more appealing prospects. Can you grant me that?" He asked calmly.

Eleanor thought about that.. That would be odd, protecting a human was the complete opposite of her nature. But it would have it's benefits.
"I believe so. It would be easy enough." She said. "Do we have a deal, then?"

"Oh, I know exactly where you are going. Your cell is being made as we speak." He said as he nodded to his men to collect Don. The two living mountains moved into the cell. Each grabbed an arm to lift him to his feet.

Markus turned and started working away to head back to the Humvee. Trusting his men with the cargo.

Spyro whispered, "We won't leave until Ender gets back."

Falkirk put his hand in his vest to rest his hand on the dagger hilt. He took Star hand as a resurgence that they would protect her.

"Really, really." Graydon taunted her as he followed Kyra, also ready to get cleaned up. He removed his shirt to wipe off the sticky goo that had gotten everywhere. He scrubbed his face and arms. Then walked into the water to wet his shirt and rinse it clean.

Allen snapped his jaw shut and looked straight ahead. He was neither confirming or denying anything.

Zypher chuckled softly at the human. He shook his head and stated His observations. "You broke protocol. Only name and serial number. Then you wouldn't be lying. Your fresh out of college. You didn't earn your rank the hard way. It was awarded to you."

Allen looked at Zypher without comment.

"I know not of territories of free shifters. Just that they attack and kill needless. I uphold order and balance the odds in the humans favor. Wild shifters are savages that need to be destroyed or neutralized." Wrath said plainly. He looked to the large male at Jackie's back. "Are you his handler? " He inquired curiously.

Starr nodded and looked around, taking Falkirk's hand when he offered it. She was nervous now and wanted to run, but she stayed where she was for the moment, because he was here and holding her

Kyra laughed again then moved out into the water for a swim, cleaning her clothes while she wore them then shifting to her fox to play in the water.

Anna nodded and sighed "Well, we will have to check him for a tracker too, then we can take him to the hidden places and get our answers" She said, the psuedo-threat made in a calm voice.

"Home" Jackie corrected and shook her head "Though you wouldn't know that, would you? It's truly sad how little he tells you of the world. These 'savage' shifters have lived alongside humanity for generations. The only time they become a problem for the humans is when their homes or freedom is taken away, their children and families taken by men like Marcus. Then they fight back. And no, I am no one's 'handler' because such is not needed out here. We are friends, equals" Jackie said then glanced to Bertram and smiled at him then looked back to Wrath "They patrol themselves and if any do kill without cause, they are quick to end that threat to their existence, that is the natural way after all"

Marx shook his head slightly. Then explained why, "What do you want?"

(I'm kind of confused. I thought they were talking about Chaos, like them having the dragon like the spider said earlier. I have no idea why I'm confused, it's ridiculous. I really need to stop posting when I'm sick, it makes me thick-skulled.

"I thought the spider told you about the dragon? If we have the dragon, you get the protection of every spider in my group. And if we do get the dragon he will be treated well, if you care about that. Well, he will be treated well if he doesn't try to kill any of us." Eleanor explained.

Rex and Leo laughed at Don's dead weight. They simply grabbed a leg too and carried him out of the cell. Crab walking to clear the cell door. Then headed down the hallway to the waiting vehicle.

Markus looked to Jasper to open the back door for loading, as he climbed in the passenger seat.

Ender landed close by in a flurry of wing beats. "I found nothing, but something was there. There was signs of magic. " he informed his brother. He then looked to Star and Falkirk. "I'm sorry, but we must seek the safety of the castle. " He said with remorse.

Falkirk nodded and said, "But of course. I completely agree. "

Graydon chuckled softly and threw his soaked shirt on a large rock on the bank. He slowly turned and dived under the water. He had mischief in mind. He'd learned how to swim from the lab. They exercised him in a pool.

Allen swallowed hard, but did his hest to look unaffected.

Zypher shook his head again and and affectionately nuzzled Anna's ear. Only to nip the earlobe gently.

Wrath listened quietly then looked to his froze lab mate. " Your words are foreign concepts to me. You speak so eloquently about peace and equality. Yet you have the power to freeze my lab mate and have attacked our home twice." He said with certainty.

Bertram stepped forward and addressed Wrath. "Those so called attacks were rescue missions. I was an unwilling captive of Markus."

Wrath looked to Bertram and then looked back at Jackie. "What are yoy going to do with me?" He inquired flatly.

( He knows they want the dragon. But Chaos is not a plaything that can just be handed over. Marx and Chaos are a unit. That's the difference between Garth. He never had a handler. Gen-two's are bounded closely with their charges. He's asking what they want the dragon to do for his sanctuary. Is that better put. The whole Wrath thing was an example of the bounds. )
Marx explained simply why he couldn't just hand Chaos over to them. Then waited for their reply.

Chaos stepped a little closer to Marx and started growling lowly, as he eyed the spiders.
