Falkirk grinned happily and said to Star, " Yes, that's exactly what I need. I've been pushing a brush for too long. " He paused as he looked to Spyro's hand. He had it held out for the hilt of the practice sword. Falkirk eagerly handed it over. "By all means, my friend. You are by far a better adversary." He said with respect to Spyro.

Jackdaw stopped in mid-swing as he heard Falkirk's words. He turned and watched Spyro approach. The thing about Sylphs, we're they were death personified. No one ever wanted one actually coming after them. But to spar was one, was a great honor. "You honor me and I am humbled. "Jackdaw replied in a deep bow.

Spyro flared his wings to their full glory and bowed in return. "This is just for you. I want Vatgkan dead. I'll teach you the ways of the Sylphs. I am breaking a sacred oath. But it's my choice to do so." He replied softly, before he attacked in a flurry of feathers and steel.

Cadeon tightened his hold on Ember. Dread filling his heart as the calls went unanswered. But he calmed himself, they had Orson and his portal. His beloved wouldn't need to fly out is search of them. He looked looked to Ember and let out a breath he'd been holding.

Markus followed behind the group for a while. But frowned as he saw an over abundance of light to the right. He went to investigate and froze at the sight of a flattened trail of trees. He called after the others to get their attention. "He's not in there! We're too late! "

Xavier frantically ran to see. His heart pounding in his chest. "Oh, that's not good."

Markus sneered at him and said, "The understatement of the century! Thank you for enlightening us!"

Xavier grumbled under his breath, while glaring at Markus.

Degan stepped forward with Kyth. "We can each carry one." He added politely.

Rosie smiled and shook her head "Yes, well worth it to not be tickled all over while you search for a ticklish spot that doesn't exist" She said cheerfully then headed out of the closet.

Don went over to look at the trail and frowned, looking up and down it then slipping out of the harness before shifting to go down to get a scent to follow. The humans could argue about 'spilled milk' but he was going to track this thing down instead of casting blame.

Anna nodded and glanced to Zypher then around the room before answering her phone when it rang. She frowned at the call, looking to Aypher with worry "The giant is awake, he's at the spider's lair." She said with worry "It will not take him long to get to the city from there, especially since they moved closer"

Aaran smiled then shrugged "This realm is interesting, there is so much to see here, but you are right, We are needed, so I shouldn't wander off right now." He said and gave her a bow then winked at her "Next time, you should come with me and we can go and explore the whole realm together"

Falkirk glanced over to Star and asked, "You're not disappointed that my skill level isn't that great, are you?" He asked quietly.

Graydon put on his best pout. "Aww, was it something I said? " He asked with a chuckle. He then got up to go outside. He checked on his shirt to see how dry it was. Figuring it was good enough, he slipped it off the branch to put it back on.

Bertram moved closer to get a better look. "I've never seen such a thing. The giant or the spiders. I've heard of tearing off flies wings, but spiders legs, seem so much worse." He said with horror.

Jaxon leaned in to get a glimpse. It was graphic to say the least.

Orson stopped by the porch. He waited for Kristen to slide off to shift. "I think that is best, my heart. Only you will know when the time is right to reveal yourself to all. " He stated reassuringly.

Markus then spoke internally to Pariah. "Send a gargoyle to provide protection for Don." There was a bright purple flash as a gargoyle took form. It then followed after Don's wolf form.

Zypher came over shocked, as the gasps around the room sounded. "Perhaps the spiders will buy us time until we can get into position." He surmised.

Aeval looked around nervously. But took comfort from Aurora's calmness.

Elina blushed, " I must confess it was my loneliness and concerns that had me searching you out. I've just heard the news. Why didn't you tell me?" She asked quietly. Just a little hurt by the secrecy.

Skylar glanced at the bowl then looked away quickly. No one really liked those spiders, but this was torture, even to the youngest ones.

Kristen nodded and headed inside to see what had everyone's attention. At the sight of the giant, she gasped and turned to hide her face against Orson's chest, not expecting to see anything like that.

Don glanced back at them then shook his head and settled into a mile eating lope that would take him back home quickly. When he found a safe enough place, he would call and talk to his family and make sure they were ready and safe, but he didn't want to listen to Marcus demeaning his people anymore. They had far more important things to worry about. He glanced to the gargoyle and snorted, knowing that thing would likely have orders to take him back if he tried to leave the trail then he wondered how much endurance it had and if it could keep up with him as he ran flat out along the new trail.

"Those Shelob have very potent venom, perhaps they will kill the giant even when we arrive' Aurora said then shrugged "Either way, the giant cannot stay here, he would destroy everything simply by walking, add in his hatred and desire to kill humans and that just makes it more important to stop him again."

Anna nodded and looked around "We need those weapons and we need to move asap." She said then looked to Zypher and smiled again "Besides, once the giant is down and father is safe, we can blow up another helicopter."

(I like having a lot, cause you can pick up or drop them when needed to move the story along, you aren't stuck with just one or two. Saying that, but I do keep a list written down of each charrie and what they look like so I don't get too confused, lol)

When he had the shirt over his head to pull it into place, an acorn bounced off his head. He popped his head the rest of the way through. He stared up at the squirrel and pointed a finger at him. "I saw that, you pompous rat! Passive aggressive much?" He said before continuing to pull his shirt into place. He then continued inside. He glanced to Kyra and assumed she was sleeping. He smiled sweetly at her curled form. He went to picked up his basket in progress to work on it quietly.

Jaxon wrapped his arm around Skylar and said soothingly, as he guided her out of the room. " It's not something that can be helped. Come, Bob might be awake and he doesn't need to see this, even by accident. "

Orson kissed Kristen's head as she hid aginst his chest. He made a soft sound to offer her comfort. "Easy my heart. I know it terrible." He replied mentally.

Kyra was enjoying the quiet and the warmth from the sun through window that hit this part of the floor just right to warm her fur. She had only intended to lie here until her giggle feeling had fully subsided, but the next thing she knew it was a couple of hours later.

Skylar walked with him. She didn't want to be seen as weak, but that was different than anything she had seen before and it made her feel sick. She nodded and walked to check on Bob.

Kristen nodded but didn't even try to look again. She kept her face hidden and then bowl out of her sight "I do not like that."

Falkirk gasped softly, for her words touched him deeply. He was almost beyond words. But instead of speaking, he wanted to show her how she made him feel. At lest it was something he'd heard mates could do. He consciously opened himself to her. First slowly, then completely. He watched as he sent his love through their link, curious to see if it worked.

Jackdaw wiped the sweat from his face. "You've given me hope and a chance. That's more then I began with. Thank you. Know it's greatly appreciated." He brought his hand over his heart and snapped his heels, while lowering his head. It was a Sylph salute.

Spyro reached out to Jackdaw and squeezed his shoulder gently. "Now go get cleaned up and rest. You've proved yourself worthy of our teachings. Even if it does cost me my wings. They'll grow back eventually. " He said with a smile.

Orson shook his head, as he looked to the bowl again. He spoke to Kristen mentally. " Yes, I know my heart. You as still unaccustomed to such sights." He then looked to Jackie and said aloud, "What about getting the others there? We can use the void to gather. The giant can't get us and we could watch it in relative safety, until the time is right."

Markus made a pit stop in the outskirts of the city. There was no sense in following Don, they were heading in the same direction. So opted to meet up with his ground units. Besides, he'd seen the movie King Kong. He wasn't going anywhere in the air around that giant. Markus looked over to Xavier, as he shifted gears. He'd been quiet since he'd snapped at him. He shrugged it off and looked to his caravan. He had some heavy duty firepower and a tank for good measure. Plus his wolf hybrids. He figured they were going to kill each other off anyway, might as well give them something useful to to kill.
