The other wyrmlings grew very alert, flattening down and slinking into the murky water to press against Slygotha, who gathered them in with her forearms like a mother hen. She was extremely agitated about Nidhogg's disappearance, but would not leave the other five in case something were to happen. She snorted her agitation, wide eyed, her nostrils flared. The acid worked up in her jaws as she scanned the shore, picking up the faint waft of acrid black dragon urine from a dense clump on the riverbank, perhaps where the boat had shoved off from. Her pupils narrowing, she roared, her poison green crest flaring as high as it would go as birds for miles fled. She unloaded a torrent on the Grove of trees, the strong acid dissolving the leaves and smaller branches and causing the larger branches to droop eerily. The vegetation hissed and bubbled, revealing no Nidhogg. Thrusting her wings out in frustration, her sorrowing cries echoed across the valley, shaking the treetops.

Nidhogg, bouncing on the man's back as he was running through well worn game trails, heard her parents calling. She struggled, squirming around as hard as she could, but to no avail. The man knew exactly where he was going: straight to the nearest village to catch a ride to the closest city. He knew that he had caught something worth having, and if he found the right buyer, he'd never have to worry about his family starving or having a roof over their heads ever again. Life of a villager wasn't always easy. He had heard the tales of the great Worm of Slygoth, and saw the carnage wrecked on his comrades as they were coming back across the wide jungle river. The parents were larger than the village buildings! He wasn't far away now, and he knew he would have to be very fast, as the parents, the great black ones, had wings.

Reaper looked to his mate and remaining wyrmlings. He was truly conflicted in that instant. But he looked back to the trail that led away from them that carried Nidhogg's unique acid scent. He growled angrily and knew he had to get her back or avenge her if it was already too late. He assured Slygotha, "They will pay in blood for their treachery and stupidity!" Before taking to the sky. A father’s wrath set on mass destruction and vengeance.

As he rose up onto the sky, Slygotha pumped her neck, roaring out, " go, rain death on they who would take a Dragon's young, let death be thy destination!!" At this, she arched her neck, roaring her anger and frustration once more. " I must escort the rest of our brood back to our home, before something else happens," she called, rumbling to her terrified wyrmlings. They were pressing and clinging to her sides, and her agitated humming did not serve to calm them. They were all worried about their sister, but were more worried about themselves. Slygotha slipped underwater, murmuring to them to cling to her as she made ready to quickly swim the river.

Zypher smiled sleepily as Anna snuggled close and allowed himself to surrendered to a blissful slumber with his beloved alpha mate.
~~~
Racine smiled warmly, as he savored the handmade tributes his generals had made for his wife as wedding offerings. They were all very unique to each of their respective talents. He stood proudly beside Sorcha's chair in dutiful silence throughout their presentations of gifts.
~~~
"Safe, yes. But I'm still afraid for their future, Bardou. They have become complacent and childlike in demeanor. Just as the lack of danger has made them oblivious to the struggles that have led to their confinement. " Avalon spoke with underlying concern as she returned her gaze to the fairies. Two had taken to squabbling over a tibbit of fruit, even though there was plenty to go around.
~~~
"And I you. Forever and always." Falkirk recanted lovingly. But recalled they were not alone. He smiled sheepishly as he looked to the three Balors. "It would seem that newlyweds are easily distracted by each other's presence. I shall endeavor to remain focused upon our tour. But I can't make any promises." He said pleasantly as he glanced back to Star. Only to grin widely in playfulness.
Anton watched Shaylee crumble to the ground in utter agony. He felt the pain of the shocks, but not as severely as a water creature would. He recovered enough to move Shaylee away from the net and shifted to protect her unconscious form from the fast approaching soldiers. He lowered his head to brandish his horn in a threatening manner before the actual combat would begin. He had a score to settle and intended to do as much damage as he physically could to them all.
(Morning?)
Sorcha was enjoying seeing how creative the generals were, thanking each of them as they presented their gifts to her. She liked seeing their personalities and gifts in the gifts given.
~~~
Bardou reached over to separate the two and take the piece they fought over "No need of fighting, little ones. That isn't the right way to act" He said with a frown before looking to Avalon again "Then they must be taught before they can be free again. What the dangers are, the bad and poisonous plants to them and the animals that will try to eat them out there."
~~~
Star blushed and couldn't look to the kids at the reminder they were not alone here.
The kids for their part had been talking about where to go next and letting the newlyweds be for a moment. They looked back to Falkirk at his statement and chuckled "We will do our best to keep you entertained" Bryan said cheerfully "Whenever you want, we can move to the next place."
~~~
Shaylee would take a while to recover from that, though she would wake if given enough time.

Kyth stopped a few doors from his own and unlocked it. "Here you are. I hope you find everything you need in here. If not, just let me know and I'll make sure you'll get it." He said, as he swung the door wide and held out the apartment keys to her.

Aurienne sincerely wanted to thank him, but knew that those two words were insufficient in expressing her gratitude. Instead she said: "You have given me more than I could have ever asked for by giving me your friendship. Know this, that for your friendship I will forever be grateful." She smiled broadly, before taking the keys and entering the apartment.

Shane smiled again and dipped his head "Your welcome, friend. I am glad you chose to come and be with us."

Asclepius casually strolled over to the large unlocked chest at one end of the space, lifting the lid to reveal a glittering trove of gemstones of all kinds, grabbing a fistful and popping a few in his mouth.

Shane watched him then shook his head "That is so weird. Cool, but weird." He said then chuckled at himself and looked to the ancient books in here again

( Sure. But quick question, does Jackie's pocket realm match earth's time exactly? )
Zypher slowly came awake to the jubilant songs of the new songbirds. He listened quietly as he looked around the interior on the den.
~~~
Racine dipped his head to each in appreciation of their work. He then stated, "We should probably head back to Avalon's castle. You'll need to be introduced to her Sylphs and get reacquainted with the other inhabitants as well." He smiled softly as he looked down to his beloved. "I fear they may think they are being invaded. Good thing you'll be able to assure them otherwise. " He murmured with a chuckle.
~~~
Avalon flushed slightly at the obviousness of Bardou's observation. She nodded and replied humbly, " In actuality, that thought had never occurred to me. My father had taught me that they were incapable of higher reasoning. But now, I see that it was yet something else he was mistaken about. And makes their confinement more tragic."
~~~
Falkirk chuckled happily and nodded. "That sounds like a very good plan indeed." He then looked back to Star and asked, "Are you ready to go to the next place? "
~~~
Anton was eventually subdued and taken back to a holding cell with Shaylee. They'd forced his shift to human halfway through his attack. He'd crumbled to the floor in stunned agony. Such an assault on his inner magic was very debilitating to a mythical.

(Want to pick up the great dragons? )

( I'm thinking on this one. Do you want to do the sale before Reaper gets to the village? Do you want Alpha team to be waiting or in route? )

( The guy is just a local slub trying to make a living. He'll try to make a connection with a buyer once he reaches a port city. As soon as he manages to get to the village, he's got a truck he's going to grab to get there. He isn't terrible far from the village, and he is supremely motivated with plenty of adrenaline not to stop for anything after seeing the fate of his fellow poachers. That being said, Reaper has the advantage of flight and likely a good nose, and arial attack.)
The man crashed through the game trails, hearing the anguished roars of Slygotha echoing in his ears. Knowing that the young creature had peed all over him, he was definitely going to smell. He didn't slow down or look back, he was terrified that at any moment he would be torn apart by one of those gargantuan monsters. He was only a few miles off from the village; he hoped he was close enough not to get caught.

( Ok. How about he attacks the village before he realizes Nidhogg is not there. He's blinded by rage at the moment, so that will buy your guy time to get to the port. )
