Aurienne decided to take a shower before going to sleep, it had been a while since she last enjoyed that type of luxury. She clothed herself with a robe found in her bedroom closet, and wearily crawled into bed.

Zypher knew their time here wouldn't last much longer, but he intended to draw out every moment he could. A bit selfish, he knew as well. "Inevitably." He murmured softly to her.

"Wonderful! I'm so glad you approve my ever beating heart." Racine said reverently. He then casted a portal that opened a short distance away. He then offered his arm to Sorcha so they could led the way for the others.

" But isn't knowledge of intellectual capacity tied to first acquiring a certain form of communication?" Avalon asked eagerly. She was fascinated with all things earth related. She drummed her nails upon the table in thought of what she'd just said. " Or is that just yet another misconception on my part? " She amended.

Falkirk snorted happily as he marveled at the unabashed beauty of the tiny deer like creatures.

Anton was feeling much defeated and replied bitterly, "Are you sure it's not the iron playing tricks with your ticker? There is no calvary coming. No one even knows where here is, let alone how to get inside it."

"Yes, thank you. In fact, that was the first nap I've had in a very, very long time. My Sylph form didn't require actual sleep. We seemed able to rest one half of our brains at a time so we could stay alert at all times. " Ender admitted openly to Foneth. He paused and asked, "I'm not imposing upon your rest am I?"

Anna sighed and held him close for a little while. "At least we didn't get any calls last night" She said then chuckled softly. She still didn't know where the phone went when in her wolf form, but it was always in her pocket again in human form.

Sorcha stood and took his arm to walk with him to the portal. She just hoped this event went well and they didn't have anything bad happen between the two kingdoms.

"Not communication exactly, but understanding, yes. After all, they couldn't talk back to us unless we had a shifter of their species to interpret. Even with an interpreter like that it was more body language than speech." Bardou said then frowned and thought about it. "Still, there has to be that intelligence, or the capacity to learn a behavior to teach anything."

"Those are known as Kashmir deer." Bryan said as they flew over the field

"The males have fangs" Cora added quietly then smiled at the two unipeg again "Thought they aren't big enough to harm any of us." She meant the dragons of course.

Shaylee paused and frowned, touching her temple then shaking her head "I forgot something, but someone knows where here is. They are much too concerned with trying to trick me into giving up information I forgot about a 'pack of Guardians' since they caught me." She paused then looked to the door again "And I feel someone calling, but I don't remember who." She sighed and moved to sit again, resting while she could. "Even if it is just hope, I will never stop hoping to be free again."

Foneth chuckled softly and looked at him "No, I am not imposed, though I am not surprised you can 'sleep with one eye open' so to speak, Most of us can, though we choose not to. It sounds like a defence, probably given because of your smaller form with the first transformation."

Aurienne awoke feeling refreshed from the worries of the past day. She went to the bathroom, grateful when she found a fresh outfit laid out for her by the sink. Eagerly she dressed and attended to her hair which had become knotted while she slept.

Asclepius stretched out in the bed before climbing out, his eyes flashing golden as he yawned and rubbed the sleep out of them.

Anna sighed and held him close for a little while. "At least we didn't get any calls last night" She said then chuckled softly. She still didn't know where the phone went when in her wolf form, but it was always in her pocket again in human form.

Racine stepped forward into the portal with Sorcha by his side. He'd never felt more complete in his entire life. His generals followed in loose formation behind them. " I never dreamed my homecoming could align me with all I could ever hope for. I still believe I'm dreaming in my earthly dwelling." Racine whispered through their bond to Sorcha.

Avalon nodded as she looked to Bardou as he explained it to her. "Ah, yes. I finally understand now and it does make complete sense when put that way." She replied quietly.

Intrigued further at the reveal, Falkirk looked back to the Kashmir deer to see the distinguishing difference between the genders. Wonders never cease. However, the last statement was not a fact for their stature. Those deers could easily hurt them. But he didn't state such aloud, just made a mental note. He glanced to Star and grinned as best he could in his pegasus form.

Anton sat up with renewed hope. "Really? Then we'll just have to wait and see what happens next. It's strange that Markus isn't in her gloating over his victory." He replied honestly.

Ender nodded mutely and thought about that. He looked down to his claws that were strange to him still. When would he be one with his new self. When would he not be startled by his reflection. He mused silently. He looked over to Foneth as he thought to ask, " Do you think I'll always have this ability? I have a slight fear of getting stuck in in one form and loosing this new found magic."

Slygotha snuffled Nevitha's scaly neck, taking in her daughter's acrid scent, along with Trogdor. Gugol finally caved pretending to be stronger than she was, burrowing into the comfort of the pile.

The man hoped he had enough gas to get there, it was only a half hour now. He finally encountered pavement, bouncing up over the ridge of it with a rusty creak of his tired truck chassis. Now he could get some real speed, as long as the truck held together! Nidhogg struggled, the cords tying her snout starting to dissolve in earnest now. Soon, the first strand would be broken and she would break herself free, she hoped...
The man looked back to make sure she was still there, but was too busy driving to notice her jaws slowly oozing the destructive acid goo.

Razeth moved closer to his mother and siblings. His confidence wavering for the comfort they offered.

Aurienne decided to draw the windows closed and in privacy transformed to her true form. It had been at least a few years since she last transformed to keep from being seen by someone, so the change was embraced with great eagerness.

Nidhogg finally managed to melt through the cord binding her muzzle, and it gave way with a sizzling sigh. Nidhogg's jaws snapped open, she sighed in relief. She was still rolling around the back of the metal box, but she could see her captor just sitting there while the box whisked them along. Her jaws freed, she aimed carefully at the man and spat a large was at him, melting part of the cab and the glass and a bit of his bench seat as well. Nidhogg was unaware of the glass, and had hoped to melt his head. The acid did splash on the man, and he screamed in pain, swerving the truck in reaction. Nidhogg was slammed around the back of the pickup, and the man, now missing some hair in patches and with acid burns splashed along his arm, looked to pull over. As he got out, Nidhogg cried out to him in draconic, but he did not understand her. Dizzy from the sudden slam, Nidhogg offered no resistance when the man, angry and hurt, retied her jaws shut, taking care to use several different cords, her snout now such a mass of rope as to be unrecognizable. He made sure she could still breathe. Muttering, he climbed back into the ruined cab and floored it into the bustling port city, until he managed to get to the building where the purchasers for the exotics worked. Grabbing the little black monster, he raced up the building stairs to the dealer's office, ignoring the acid burns all over the back of his head and arm.

Bardou nodded, frowning and looking down then chuckling and looking up at a fairy that was playing with his hair "Hey now, playful little thing." He laughed and 'caught' the fairy in his open hand, bringing her in front of him "Don't like not having attention, do you?"

Star was watching the deer curiously before glancing to Falkirk and nickered softly before looking ahead as they passed the plain and headed on to wherever they were going now.
(Those deer are real, our world has some strange animals, lol)

Shaylee frowned and nodded, watching the door then looking around the room "Yes, they do like to boast when they recapture me. Odd." She said softly. "Maybe their near death earlier made them have to rest too?" She smiled at that thought, freezing them both had been good.

"I don't see why you wouldn't have the ability, it is a form your magic recognizes. Our magic is in us from birth, your 'birth' to your dragon form was delayed, but the magic is still in you, I can feel it." Foneth assured and turned to lay on her belly, relaxing her wings to her sides and looking at him "Can you feel my magic?"
