Fay looked to Ravek, coming to him to lay a hand on his shoulder "She forgot him to save him and the others. Now answer so we can know what to offer better. Either that or you can come with me and starve in the god's realm."

Anton said nothing, he simply started unbuttoning the front of his suit and shirt. "As I said, it's ironclad, for its burned upon my very skin." He replied as he revealed the scars on his chest. He then looked to her expectedly.

All the dragons suddenly stopped fighting, looking to the tunnel's entrance then to one another before they flew over the wolves to land beyond them, still looking away from the battle. Something had taken their full attention but they didn't seem to want to attack it.

The wolves came over to Nektar to get him tended to and call for one of the fae or medics to come and help.

"No, we hope to live in peace once this war is over" Anna stated, moving back a step then using illusion on herself to make herself hidden yet have a copy move towards the far corner. She had to remain still, focused on this spell, but she had seen the others with the collar at the door, so she would try to get him to turn away. Distraction was the only thing she could think of.
~~~
"Then clear the room" Kellan stated, taking a step back "Quickly, everyone out." He had an idea, but it wouldn't do well with non-magic creatures in the room.Meanwhile he would watch the dragon and see if that paralysis spell worked on it.
~~~

Jason chuckled and nodded, grabbing another load of files to have put in the bag. "Yeah, that would be great" He said with a laugh. "When we get all of this, we need to get it out of here and get to the next floor."

Garth got to his feet as the dragonkin he'd been attacked by suddenly stopped. He glanced to the sky curiously to see them fly away from the battle. He then searched out Jaxon. He galloped over to him as he stood up as well. "What do you suppose that means? " Jaxon asked. Garth made a soft grunt. "Yeah, me neither. Come on, let's take advantage of this respite." Jaxon stated as he ran to help the wounded.

Nektar had managed to shift before he'd lost consciousness as the wolves tended to him.

"What childish dreams you have. Wars will never be over. The world by it's very nature is at war with itself. You cannot change that. Instead one should embrace it and perfect it." Terminus stomped as he tried to stop Anna from moving to the far corner. Unbeknownst to him, he'd just put the real Anna at his back.

Sabra took the collar in her mouth as he flew up to try and drop down on the beast back. But unexpectedly, it turned to snap it's jaws down on her wing as she jockeying for position. Being immune to Fae magic, she had the presence of mind to drop the collar in the real Anna's vicinity as she was shook viciously like a dog with a chicken would, until he positioned her within his massive jaws and crushed her to death. He then flung her carcass aside. "Nice try Thorn bush! They can't help you. "

Zypher and Maxton hurried over to Sabra and cringed at what remained of her. "I cannot heal that." Maxton murmured apologetically.

"At least it was fast." Zypher said as he looked to the beast and a trapped Anna.
~~~
All the group hurried to do as instructed. Aurelius looked back through the thick reinforced glass as the door was shut.
The paralyzing spell was finally starting to take effect, as the hydra collapsed upon the floor in a thunderous crash. But that was the extent of the effects. Three heads were keenly aware of who had done that to them. They spoke in draconic before they started attending to break through the shield.
~~~
Navar growled as a loud alarm sounded and the stainless steel door slammed shut and engaged it's lock. "Whoa! Jas, my man, what's that?!!" Navar asked nervously. Just then hidden cords on the walls started to ignite as pure oxygen was pumped into the room. "Oh, that's not good! Please tell me Xatia in here somewhere I can't see her." He said in a panic.

As the phone disconnected, Markus started to flip out. "NO! Menagerie cannot be that lost. It was warded to the teeth!" He said in denial. He then started dialing the other gate keepers. First Anderson, when no one answered, he moved to the next one. But Burton, was a no answer too! "Come on Jasper, you're my last shot to save it all." He muttered as he waited for an answer. Just as his last hope was about to die, he heard Jasper's whispered voice. "Verification needed." "Oh, thank you! Verification code 695Alpha9er. Stop the self destruction before it's too late! We are in route. "

There was a long pause, before Jasper replied, "Impossible sir, it is for your own protection. I'm sorry it has come to this. But the sequence has already been initiated. It's in stage two of the protocol. Do not go back to Menagerie, sir. It's lost!" The call then ended. Markus frowned at the phone and call out to Pariah mentally, "Fix this Pariah! If anyone can, you can."

"I don't think I will. This is a lesson for you Markus. Learn it well and do not repeat it as you have twice before. You are to greedy and over reach. You must learn you are no longer battling shifters, but beings with powers beyond your control." Pariah lectured him privately.

Markus seethed in anger as they continued their journey back to the warehouse. His father and his life's work was gone in an instant. Well, not completely gone, but still. It would be extremely expensive to buy back his hybrids he'd already delivered. Pariah whispered in his mind, "That dragon's hoard was vast beyond measure. Funds are not an obstacle, my love." Markus smiled happily. "So she paid her own ransom? Is that why you really let her go?" He inquired mentally. The only answer he got from Pariah was a soft laugh.

The wolves worked to pull and help the wounded as well as they could, using what anti-venom they had on hand, though it was only a little from each species. They were surprised when the dragonkin came back, but more so when they saw who was with them. Elle landed, the dragonkin around her. They had their heads lowered, talking in their garbled language to one another but clearly under the young queen's control. She looked to the wolves and the others gathered there then to the dragonkin "You do not fight these, you listen to them and fight for them, understand? Keep them safe."

One of the dragonkin chirped then went over to Nektar, touching the sting and drawing the poison out for them.

Anna picked up the collar even as she jumped to get on the creature, using her speed to get the collar around it's neck and latched as quickly as she could. She had to hold back the tears from watching the Spinx get killed so quickly. She had been looking forward to taking her back home. "I never said all wars, just this one, and you are choosing the wrong side of it." She stated, getting angry now
~~~
Once they were all out, Kellan looked back to the beast "Alright, just you and me now." He stated then returned to his fae form "Never thought I would do this, but..." He sighed then opened a portal in front of him where he couldn't see inside but the hydra could. He could hear the screeching though as the Gorgons inside the prison took note of the open portal, only to find they couldn't get through, still they could see and be seen, so their stone gaze would work even through it.
~~~
Jason started cursing, looking around the room and slipping the bag on his back as e tried to think of a way out of this "No, she took the kids out of here through a portal, we need a portal." He said then jumped when one showed up as if on his command. Well, he thought, anyplace is better than here right now, though he hoped it went to the void as he started ushering everyone through including himself.

Text splashed across the book opposite the listed contracts. 'So, in exchange for her soul, any information you gathered from the princess would be delivered to Pariah? Even from here I can smell a pretty good deal. That soul is particularly delicious, I must say. Well, Asclepius, goddess, and Ravek, what, between the three of you, can you offer better than a pure soul in exchange for the contents of her brain?' Baalberith grinned maniacally.
Asclepius scolded the book. "Hush you! We need to think about this. I'm not about to offer anyone's soul for the release of the princess. What better do we have to offer? Baalberith says she's a gem. I doubt Anton or the book will tell us outright what a good counter offer is. Goddess, do you have anything?"

Anton whispered softly as he turned to looked at a sleeping Shaylee. "She's the only one I've ever offered my own energy to, to help sustain her. She is that special to me."

Fay frowned as she thought about things before looking to Anton "You feed on the feelings, correct?" She asked just to be certain before glancing to Asclepius "And you do not wish to offer another's soul, so that means we offer feed. Zues cares little what happens to his mistresses once he tires of them, so long as they survive." She said with a shrug

"And suffer a God's vengeance when he decides to be contrary. I think not. A hundred females is not even close to what she's worth to me." Anton said insulted.

Ravek was searching for possible solutions, but coming up short.

Slygotha leaned against her son gratefully. "This accursed collar... I am trapped in this shape."
She tore at it fruitlessly. Sighing, she twisted her long hair into a long braid, tucking it up into a crown on her head, then continued walking forward, her arm draped around Valstrath's neck.

Valstrath only wished he was larger. But he'd grow soon enough. But for now, he'd help his broodmother anyway he could.

Razeth noticed the absence of the dragonkins's shadow as it had circled around. He cautiously raised his head above the water to take in the full panoramic view of the sky. To his relief, it was clear. He stood and worked his was from the bogginess of the rivers mud and hurried to the cover of the forest. He sniffed around the area for any signs of the strange looking dragons. Not finding any scents of humans or dragonkin, Razeth started calling out softly for any survivors of his family. His chirps were bird like in nature, so would be easy mistaken as such to most.
