I grew up on a farm in south Georgia and have had chickens since the mid 1980s except for several years after a babcat killed 13 one night and 15 a couple of nights later. I have about 75 right now, mostly Black Australorps and Rhode Island Reds, that are in a chain link horse corral with wire across the top and a secure coop. We are getting ready to harvest about 20 young roosters that I hatched out this summer and some hens that are not as productive as I want or have certain genetics that I am weeding out of the flock. I am working on starting a local poultry club, Hi Desert Homegrown Poultry Association, in January at a local rural community center, Yucca Mesa Improvement Association, in the Yucca Valley area just north of Palm Springs.

Hello from Tennessee. Glad you joined us and hope to hear from you soon. I don't knoweverything about chickens but I know quite a bit so hit me up if you like.

Hi:

We live on Yucca Mesa. We are interested in keeping some layers. Do you sell chicks?

David
