Hiding eggs?

My ladies have been laying for a few weeks now. For the past week I've noticed that one of my EEs jumps out the the run in the mornings. Today I saw she was missing and discovered her in some vines. When I went to put her back with her sisters I saw that she had a stash of six eggs! Is there a reason she isn't laying in the boxes? Will she learn or will I always be hunting for her stash spot? The boxes have golf balls and all the other girls use them. Just confused, me and my chicken.

With mine, a few have been more inclined to do this, while most just use the nests, or at least the coop. I had one I had to just give up and collect her egg from "her" nest. After several months, she did return to using the regular nests. I wondered if she "thought" she was building a clutch to hatch, and this urge went away as cooler weather approached. They can be very interesting individuals....
