Misty wakes up and looks around the forest, Grant by her side still asleep warmth emanating from him making the chilly air around them breathable. Misty smiles at Grant and gets up shivering from the cold that immediately sucked the warmth out of her side
 
Wren sat in her makeshift house and listened to the sound of feet and quiet murmuring of voices going on behind the walls of the warehouse. Am I the only one who know that these warehouses aren't abandoned? She got up and stepped outside and pressed her face to the warehouse wall, making the voices come into clearer focus.

"You can go to the warehouse now," the guard told him gruffly.
Cyrus said nothing but turned to the door of the huge smoky building behind him, running inside to where the other children were.
Squid heard feet pounding on the concrete, pulling out of his talk with a fairy and back into reality. That wasn't right. Everyone should be working.
 
Gillis sat at a conveyor belt inspecting things as they passed by him. He liked that his job seemed to keep him occupied. Even though it was still dull and repetitive, he occasionally would find something that didn't meet standards and that would get him excited about maybe finding another. Though as yet he had never found two in one day, that was always his goal.
