I get a layer supplement feed to use when I am giving lots of treats or other grains to the birds. I don't plan on replacing their regular chicken feed and so they will still eat it free choice. I don't think I have the ability to really make my own rations balanced so this stuff is just extra and for fun... I buy my corn seed by the ounces... so I don't think I'll buy that 50 lb bag of grain. LOL. Lots of variety there though! More grains than I knew existed.
