Maria: sounds good to me. Still going to do the individual competitions that are coming up to. *she said witha smile.* could you show me where the storage and tack room are so I could put this stuff away? *she was referring to her tack and grooming equipment.*

“Yeah sure, follow me” she motioned for Maria to follow her, the tack room was a few metres down the aisle and opposite a bay gelding called Dancer. “Just in there, next door is the feed room” she said stopping to pat dancers nose

Canada's high hills are home to many things, beautiful scenery, lovely flowers, plants, and graceful animals. Their also home to many beautiful wild horses, and a famous ranch called haven ranch. The animals that live in the ranch and the wilds around it live prosperous, sometimes diggicult lives. But they wouldn't have it any other way. The horses at the ranch love living there, for they get the best of care from their owners and students that ride them. While the wild horses love the freedom and pride that comes with living wild. Even if it comes with plenty of dangers.

Haven ranch: they started off as just a small horse ranch in the foothills. They were the home of a small time rancher that soon showed his talent. Winning many rodeos, soon becoming the undefeated champ. With that fame, his land grew in popularity. Now, fifty years later, it is still the most popular and famous ranch and riding school. They have students from all over Canada with top notch trainers and instructors.

Setting: alberta Canada area. The middle of spring

Age: 2 yr
Role: wild
Looks: silvery white, tall and graceful, Soft flowing mane and tail, Blue eyes.
Perso: frisky, playful, cunning, and protective.
Other: he has been sought after by farmers and ranchers all his life for his beautiful coat. He is the head stallion of the largest wild herd.
Breed: a mix of all different breeds.

Name: Misty lake
Gender: female
Age: 4 yr
Role: dressage horse
Looks: a golden cream color with specks of white, long legged and slim with golden brown eyes.
Perso: picky, high strung, stubborn and spirited.
Other: misty lake and her owner Maria Smith are a champion dressage team for the intermediate competitions.
Breed: akhal take

Name: rex
Gender: male
Age: 2 yr
Role: ranch dog, livestock guardian dog
Looks: he's all black with brown eyes
Perso: red is hyper, he loves to run and jump. He also loves hanging out with the horses in the fields once he's done herding sheep each morning.
Other: Rex is a rescue. He was born in a good home. He escaped that yard one time and was found by some dog fighters. He was used as a bait dog for a few months before he was saved by animal rescue. He was then healed and adopted by the ranch owners as a 6 month old dog.
Breed: Australian Shephard.

Name: Molly
Gender: female
Age: 6 months
Role: will be a mouser
Looks: solid grey, long fur, tall build, green eyes, long fluffy tail
Perso: being a kitten, she is often playful and devious, she loves chasing tails, string, and mice. Her love for chasing tails sometimes annoys the horses and rex.
Other: she was a gift to the ranch owner to help with rodents around the ranch. She is still learning.
Breed: Turkish angora

Name: Marie smith
Gender: female
Age: 13
Role: intermediat level student
Looks: medium build with short blond hair, blue eyes. Usually wears a red t-shirt with a black sweater, blue jeans, and a burret on her head.
Perso: marie is a friendly girl that loves animals very much.
Other: she has been riding since she could remember. She was taught to ride by her rich father, but because her father is doing expert level national competitions at the moment, she was sent to the ranch to continue her training.

Perso: he's calm and level headed, also great with animals, especially horses.
Other: he is the owner of Maxey, whom is a rescue all the way from arizona, who is schemed to arrive soon. He dreams of being an animal trainer, specifically a horse trainer, and is working here as part of a work study and training program, alongside being a student here for several years.

Looks: pitch black, medium muscular build, deep brown eyes, pound stance.
Perso: cautious, doesn't trust easily even if he'll let you ride in a arena, he'll buck you off if you try and do anything else, unless you earn his trust first.
Other: he was actually born as a circus horse. Part of a poor small circus that didn't know how to handle the animals right. They were often beaten into submissiveness or simply not fed enough. Maxey was living there for the better part of two years before animal control caught wind of their acts and shut them down. He was rescued and spent the last two years in foster homes recovering and being retrained.
Breed: clydesdale
