Ok, well at this point I have lost most of last weekends hatch. grrrrrr... I have another batch in the process of hatching and they will be going into the same brooder as the last batch (I only really have one brooder. Here is what I have changed in the last few days (which did not seem to help the last batch). Hopefully these changes will help this new batch.
1. Bought 30% protein Starter
2. Added Vitamins to the water
3. Cleaned out the brooder
4. Changed the bedding from straw to pine shavings
5. Moved the heat source from the corner of the brooder to the middle
Don't know what else I can do. Hopefully this new batch will fare better. Since I have not found any more nests recently, I am not sure how many more chances I am going to get this season.
