SO SO SO much better with cold than heat.

Also, dust bathing in the shade of a tree is better than dust bathing in the shade of a structure - courtesy of oxygen production and respiration of the tree itself - it makes a micro clime.

Big open pastures are great for cattle. Not much else. Go plant some trees, people! (Nothing with thorns, in case your birds decide those are also great places to lay eggs.)

Agreed! We live inside of a forest (pine) and never cleared more trees than we needed to around the house (to actually put the house down). Love the woods.
