Solved High Risk website blocked? "Count.IM"

I totally believe it is Sophos deciding it doesn't like that "count.im" site and deciding to tell me about it repeatedly. I would be curious to see if anyone else who uses Sophos gets the same messages I do. Or even more fun would be if some other virus scanner product also yelled about that same site.

Google has a checker where you can get the opinion of Google about the "badness" of a site, and Google doesn't seem to have flagged it as bad. So who knows. This could all be for nothing! Haha. I am fine just ignoring the message and browsing as usual. Just wanted to bring it up in case it was indicative of something shady going on.

Usually when something like this happens a lot of people "mention" the problem all at once.
I'm keeping my eyes open for others to mention it but I'm not seeing anyone yet.

I have this, too. It used to happen frequently on my phone. I got a new phone because the old one kept turning itself off and so far the new phone has not had the same issue.

However, dating from the same time, my laptop will do the same thing. I use Chrome and Kaspersky tells me a malicious link has been blocked, on every single page of BYC and only BYC, the same site OP mentions.

I wonder if the older brower versions (not supported ones) are the problem?

I dont think it is the browser. I usually use Firefox, and version being used is 58.0.2 (64-bit).

Just closed all my Firefox windows and used Chrome to go to the main site. It warned me just by me going to the main page. Warned me again when I clicked "log in" (when it took me to the login screen). So the "risky site" link/code it is being called somewhere when the main/front page (and the login page) is loaded at the very least.

Chrome I am using is 64.0.3282.186 (Official Build) (64-bit).

@paneubert thanks for letting us know and the details. Can you maybe get a screenshot of the pop-up when you see it again? I let @Nifty-Chicken know about this thread, so he can investigate.
